This study discusses the errors in the acquisition of Chinese borrowed Noun Classifiers by intermediate level native English students,analyzes the causes,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.Through a questionnaire survey of 30 foreign students whose mother tongue is English,and a questionnaire survey of 33 teachers' teaching of Borrowed Noun Classifiers,and a statistical analysis of the questionnaire data,we can find out the errors of intermediate level English students' acquisition of Chinese Borrowed Noun Classifiers,analyze the reasons,and put forward appropriate countermeasures and suggestions.The results show that:The best acquisition situation of foreign students is the grammar use of borrowed noun quantifiers,followed by collocation use,and the worst is sorting use.The errors of foreign students whose native language is English mainly include four types: the misuse of borrowed noun quantifiers,the misuse of borrowed noun quantifiers,the omission of borrowed noun quantifiers,and the misuse of borrowed noun quantifiers.The misuse of borrowed noun quantifiers by foreign students is mainly reflected in four aspects: generalization of "Ge",influence of synonyms,analogy misuse and misuse related to numerals.There are three reasons for the errors: the factor of learners,the factor of teachers' teaching and the factor of teaching materials.Learners' factors include students' lack of initiative in learning;negative transfer of target language;negative transfer of mother tongue.Teachers' teaching factors include teachers' insufficient attention,simple teaching methods,insufficient teaching frequency,and difficult teaching.From the teaching material factors,including the teaching material to meet the practice situation is insufficient;the teaching material explanation is not detailed;the arrangement of the teaching material content is unreasonable;the teaching material to meet the daily communication situation is insufficient.In this paper,the corresponding teaching strategies are put forward,that is,Chinese learners should pay attention to the study of borrowed noun quantifiers,improve their learning initiative;Learning by comparative analysis.Teachers should pay more attention to the borrowed noun quantifier,enrich teaching methods,increase teaching frequency,and improve the teaching research of the borrowed noun quantifier.In addition,it is suggested to expand the content of all kinds of borrowed Noun Classifiers in TCFL,deepen the annotation of borrowed Noun Classifiers,and add exercises on borrowed Noun Classifiers.
