Released by the Ministry of Education,English Curriculum Standard clearly advocates teachers using the task-based approach(TBLT).TBLT has many advantages as it can solve the problems of traditional language teaching which overemphasizes grammar teaching and ignores cultivating pragmatic competence,overemphasizes indoctrination and ignores learner's autonomy.However,there are still many problems in the TBLT design work for front-line teachers.Based on this,the researcher decided to study this topic,and carried it out through the literature method,the case study method and the classroom observation method.Through the method of Literature,the researcher searched the related literature,analyzed the literature about task-based instructional design,and summarized the existing research results and shortcomings,all this work provided the theoretical basis for the study.The researcher also looked up first-hand materials to analyze the core concepts of TBLT design in primary schools and trace back to the theoretical basis.In the investigation phase,the researchers collected the text of TBLT design from frontline teachers,recorded it on the spot with a recording pen,and observed the classroom teaching from the perspective of bystanders.The researcher analyzed the problems exposed by the teacher's instructional design based on the text cases of instructional design and classroom observation data,the problems mainly focus on the analysis of learning situation,the design of teaching content,the analysis of teaching objectives,the design of learning tasks,the planning of teaching strategies,the arrangement of teaching time,the design of teaching evaluation and the implementation process of TBLT.After finding out the problems,the researcher analyzed the causes of the problems,and provided solutions to the problems from the aspect of the elements of TBLT design.In order to achieve meaningful teaching,teachers should do well in TBLT design,front-line teachers should analyze the learning situation,integrate teaching objective,teaching process and teaching evaluation.Teachers should combine Willis' s TBLT process with primary school English teaching needs in our country and design tasks reasonably.Teachers should pay attention to the design of real situations and focus on students' learning.Teachers ought to improve the ability of text mining and analysis.Attention should be paid to students' autonomous learning and cooperative learning.Last but not the least,teachers should also improve the ability of classroom management.This study combines the achievements of TBLT with the practical problems and the needs of primary school English teaching in our country,which not only enriches the TBLT theory,but also provides a design plan for front-line teachers to design their teaching.However,the researcher's ability is limited and there are still some deficiencies in this study,further studies is needed in the future.
