Since the 1990 s,with the rapid development of the socialist market economy,consumer culture has become a fashion trend sweeping mainland.The core characteristics of consumer culture are popularization and entertainment.it promotes hedonism and self-satisfaction.Under the influence of consumer culture,comedy films in mainland have continued to introduce new types of films and ushered in a booming boom.In the current film market landscape,the number of comedy films has grown rapidly,the box office share has increased year by year,and phenomenal comedy films have continued to emerge.Comedy movies have become the backbone of the mainland movie market.Driven by commercialized and entertaining two-wheel drive,mainland comedy film creators have stepped out of the traditional comedy creation paradigm,and created a popular comedy feast with popular aesthetic orientation and recreational game intentions.But at the same time,Continental comedy movies also have some real dilemmas.Attracted by box office benefits,some comedy films have gone astray with excessive entertainment,relying on pure sensory stimulation to please the audience.The film is full of all kinds of symbolic consumption,the theme content is out of real life,not only lacks the humanistic caring value of comedy,but also loses the satirical and critical spirit of comedy.This article intends to sort out the main comedy films in the mainland since 1990 from the perspective of consumer culture,from the formation of the context of consumer culture in the mainland,the representation of consumer culture in comic films,and the impact of consumer culture on the narrative strategies of mainland comedy films carry out research,analyze the current problems of mainland comedy movies,and give targeted suggestions,so as to explore a feasible way for the healthy and benign development of mainland comedy movies.This article uses a progressive approach from the surface to the interior to carry out research.The introduction mainly explains the research origin,research significance,concept definition,research innovation and other issues.The first chapter analyzes the formation of consumer cultural context from the perspective of social and cultural transformation in mainland,sorts out the development process of comedy films from 1990 to 2019,and divides it into four stages according to genre characteristics.The second chapter cuts in from the perspective of consumer culture,and analyzes and points out that the consumer culture representation of mainland comedy movies is mainly manifested in symbolic consumption,popular aesthetics,and pastimes.The third chapter combines the relevant film texts to study the impact of consumer culture on the narrative strategy of mainland comedy films,and reveals its new features in character shaping,plot construction and narrative structure.The fourth chapter makes a rational review of continental comedy films in the context of consumption,and points out that there are realistic problems such as over-entertainment,disconnection from the logic of reality,and the proliferation of visual desires.It is proposed that only when the comedy film of the mainland is rooted in real life,adheres to the satirical and critical comedic spirit,and builds humanistic care for individual life,can it achieve its commercial and artistic unity.
