Professional identity refers to the students' recognition and affection of their majors,active participation in professional learning as well as an inner sense of fitness on the basic of understanding their majors.Individual professional identity is a process of dynamic development.Through analyzing the status quo of cross-speciality students' professional identity and the factors that affect it,this study puts forward corresponding suggestions to improve their professional identity.Based on the objects of the research,18 cross-speciality students in preschool education both studying in and graduated from N Normal University were interviewed.Combined with the existing literature,a situational analysis and generic analysis of the interview data were carried out.The research results mainly include the following aspects:1.The participation of postgraduate entrance examination is mainly driven by interest and practicability.During the learning process at school,the interest makes the students' professional identity level in the identity achievement status,while the practicability-driven students are in the identity moratorium status.The development trend of students' professional identity in the entry stage is: identity achievement status-identity achievement status,identity moratorium status-identity achievement status and identity moratorium status-identity moratorium status.2.The influencing factors of cross-professional students' professional identity mainly involve internal factors,important others,school factors,and social factors:cross-examination motive,personal characteristics,awareness of self-promotion and professional orientation;Influences professional teachers and peer groups;Major learning atmosphere and curriculum provision,major employment prospects,social evaluation and working environment.Combined with the current situation and influencing factors of cross-speciality students' professional identity,the researcher puts forward the following corresponding suggestions: students would do better if they clear about their motivation of being a cross-speciality graduate,fully understand their major,have the awareness of improving their professional ability and participate in the practice,etc.Schools would function better if they take the responsibility of fulfilling training objectives,giving full play to the guiding role of mentors,setting up multiple courses,strengthening internship guidance.Lastly,the society would do better if it strengthensdiscipline propaganda,improves social awareness and enhances the attraction of professional employment.
