Recess life is an important part of student's school life,it refers to the student's life from Monday to Friday except the needed regular classroom teaching activities.This paper takes middle grade students in S primary school as an example,using documentary method,questionnaire method,observational method,interviewing method and other research methods,investigating the current situation of the third and fourth graders recess life,which is included recess life's time and space utilization,free activities during small break and extracurricular activities during big break.Primary school students' recess life is mainly composed of small break and big break,the activities of students in small break are mainly games,the activities in big break include setting-up exercises,flag-raising ceremony and various campus activities.This paper expounds the moral significance of primary school students' recess life from the two aspects: recess games and extracurricular activities.The moral significance of small break games is that students develop moral qualities such as abiding by rules,cooperation and competition,tolerance and care through games,and hone moral will such as resistance and self-control in games.The moral significance of big break activities is that students develop patriotic feelings and self-discipline through the flagraising ceremony,and students cultivate environmental protection,diligence and frugality through participating in practical activities,and develop a sense of shame and collective responsibility through participating in competitive activities,perceive social occupation and develop law-abiding social ethics through participating in publicity exercises.Immoral phenomena of elementary school students' recess life exist in the interaction between education administrators and students,and between teachers and students.The immoral phenomena in the interaction between education administrators and students are that lack of humanitarian care,unfair phenomena such as preferential treatment for teachers' children,dishonest honesty education and lack of rational spirit.The immoral phenomena in the interaction between teachers and students are that inhumane phenomena such as teachers occupy students' recess time,the unequal treatment of students by teachers and dishonest phenomena such as teachers teach students to tell lies.The main reasons for the immoral phenomena in the students' recess life are as follows: educational managers and teachers have insufficient cognition of the moral significance of recess life,lack of available resources,the utilitarian purpose of recess activities,and the passive participation of teachers and students.After stating the reasons why the immoral phenomena exist in the recess life,at the last part,indicating the inscape of recess life which has values of moral education,which include reasonable time and space arrangement,innovative break exercises,stay away from the rigid flag-raising rituals and close to the lives of students during the break.At the last,puts forward suggestions from three subjects: education administrators,teachers and students.The suggestions are that education administrators plan the whole thing,teachers participate in recess life effectively and students participate in breaktime activities forwardly.
