Bis-organotin compounds with a 4 carbon-bridge between the 2 tin atoms were synthesized and analyzed using NMR and elemental analysis. The structure of [Ph2SnCl]2 [CH2]4 was determined by X-ray diffraction and illustrated supramolecular assembly via an intermolecular interaction between one tin atom and the adjacent chlorine atom. A progressive increase in the 119Sn chemical shifts was noted as the functional groups are changed, as expected. The 13C and proton chemical shifts also show some agreements with the literature. |
