There are lots of research on Germanium(Ge)in coal.It is also the best-developed available associated element in coal.Two commercially-exploited coal-Germanium deposits have been found in China,namely,Cenozoic basin in western Yunnan Province and Mesozoic basin in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region The paper mainly take the Ge enrichment zone Wulantuga coal germanium deposit as the object,the deposit located in Shengli Coalfield,Erlian basin in Inner Mongolia.By means of coal industry analysis,ICP-MS analysis,X-ray fluorescence(XRF)analysis,scanning electron microscope,light reflection microscope to discussed on the occurrence state of germanium in coal,geochemical characteristics,metallogenic environment of Ge deposit.The enrichment of Inner Mongolia Wulantuga coal-Ge mining area seems obvious.From the view of plane,the thickness of Ge coal mining area in Inner Mongolia is gradually thickening from basin edge to the basin center,but the grade of Ge is from high to low,it shows clear direction gradual change.Ge mainly deposit in the top,middle and bottom of the coal seam,on the other side the grade of roof and floor is very low.Different from other Ge coal deposit,Wulantuga coal-ge deposit has its own unique metallogenic model,caused by sedimentary environment and geological background.The germanium peak value occurred in the coal seam of the upper,middle and lower,at the same time clip waste also appeared the phenomenon of Ge enriched.The content of Ge was positively correlated with the content of humic group in the research area,and the content of inertinite were negatively correlated.It shows that the peat environment prefers to absorb Ge in groundwater and eventually accumulated in the organic matter.The relationship among coal ash content,volatile matter and total sulfur quantity with Ge in the coal seam have been studied through the test results.In general,coal ash index is negatively related with Ge content,while the volatile and total sulfurare positively correlated with Ge content.All these research results show that Ge closely associated with the organic matter and mainly enriched in reducing environment.Through the analysis of the geochemical characteristics of the coal sample,the results show that the Geelement and the major element H,C,N are positively correlated,while negatively correlates with oxygen element.There is a higher correlation between Ge andtrace element Ni,Mo and Cd.The relationship between Ge content and geochemistry parameter of the rare earth element shows that:the content of Ge was negatively correlated with REY and LREY,but positively correlated with LREY/REY and?Eu,and negatively correlated with(La/Yb)_N,(La/Sm)_N and?Ce.It illustratesthat the metallogenic environment of Wulantuga coal-Ge deposit is reducing environment.
