At present,my country's economy is in a stage of high-quality development,and the speed of economic development is gradually slowing down.At this stage,increasing total factor productivity will help the economy develop in a better direction,and it can also increase the speed of economic development to a certain extent.In this stage of rapid economic growth,in order to achieve rapid economic growth,many regions in China only focus on the speed of development,ignoring the improvement of the quality and efficiency of economic development,resulting in many problems,not only a lot of waste in development Resources,and the utilization of resources is also very unsatisfactory.Therefore,in the future economic development,the utilization of resources should be adjusted reasonably,and the utilization efficiency should be fully improved while avoiding waste.The main contents of this article are as follows:First,the background of the problem of measuring total factor productivity is introduced,and the importance of studying the problem is explained.Then clarify the concept of total factor productivity,and sort out the domestic and foreign research results of the two factors of total factor productivity measurement and analysis of influencing factors,clarify the research status and development trends of these two issues,and understand the latest research results and innovations Method,and a brief introduction to the most commonly used methods,analyze the advantages and disadvantages of each method and applicability,and combined with the research in this article,the DEA-Malmquist index method was selected.Second,estimate the sustainable total factor productivity and growth rate of my country's 31 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions between 2000 and 2018.In order to measure the continuous change of total factor productivity,this article incorporates the human development index into the measurement framework of total factor productivity.This measurement result can be called "sustainable total factor productivity".The results show that from 2000 to 2018,China's sustainable total factor productivity index generally increased,but sustainable total factor productivity showed negative growth in most years.From a regional perspective,the sustainable total factor productivity of the eastern region is significantly higher than that of the central and western regions,while the northeastern region has made great progress with the support of national policies,and has become the second region after the eastern region.From the perspective of decomposition indicators,technological progress has gradually replaced technological efficiency as the cause of sustainable total factor productivity improvement,while technological efficiency has gradually changed from an initial promotion role to a hindering effect.From the results of secondary decomposition,it is mainly pure technology effect of efficiency,while the effect of scale efficiency is smaller.This shows that although my country has made great progress in technology,there are still unreasonable aspects in resource allocation and utilization.Finally,the influencing factors of total factor productivity are analyzed.From the perspective of technological progress and pure technological efficiency,four factors including technology introduction,independent innovation,industrial structure and infrastructure construction are selected,and six factors including government factors and the level of opening up are introduced to study the impact on total factor productivity.The screening and testing of the final model retained four indicators of technology introduction,independent innovation,and industrial structure and government factors.The results show that there is a negative correlation between government factors and total factor productivity.Promoting the increase of total factor productivity can be carried out from the two aspects of enhancing independent innovation capability and industrial structure upgrade,and the role of industrial structure upgrade is much higher than that of independent innovation.Due to the weak ability to digest and absorb imported technology,the role played by technology introduction has not been clearly reflected.Considering the results of the above two analyses in a comprehensive manner,policy recommendations to promote the increase of total factor productivity are proposed from multiple angles.The main innovation of this article is to introduce a new concept in the measurement of total factor productivity,called "sustainable total factor productivity"(STFP).In the calculation,the human development index,which measures the level of human well-being,is included in the traditional total factor productivity framework.Compared with GDP,the human development index is rich in meaning and can better reflect national development;the human development index includes economic aspects and human health and education levels,and is more suitable as an output indicator for sustainable growth;human development The index does not include subjective scoring items,and the evaluation results are more comprehensive and objective.In the calculation,increase the human development index as an output,adjust the deficiencies of GDP,and better reflect the continuous growth of total factor productivity,so the result of the calculation can be called"sustainable total factor productivity".This article uses the Human Development Index and GDP as the output to measure STFP,and compares it with the traditional GDP as the output to measure TFP to better reflect the continuous changes in total factor productivity.
