With the continuous development of display technology this year,people began to pursue higher definition and more restoration of color presentation.As the fourth generation of display technology,laser display technology has incomparable advantages over other display technologies: low energy consumption,large gamut,long life,high color purity and so on.Laser display is the only display technology that can meet the requirements of BT.2020 gamut,and has the best color expression capability.Laser raster scanning display uses RGB laser as the light source and MEMS twodimensional scanning device as the beam control device,and realizes the image display by the way of the beam carrying the image signal in the previous multiple scanning.It is the main mode of laser display,which is often used in the rendering of large-format and high-fidelity images.It is very important for the detection of laser raster scanning performance.In laser display industry,products emerge one after another,and standardization is an essential condition for product development.In order to standardize products and provide perfect product testing schemes,the Electronic Display Committee(TC110)of the International Electrotechnical Commission(IEC)established the Laser Display Working Group(WG10)in 2013,which is engaged in the formulation of relevant international standards for laser display.This paper focuses on the test method of raster scanning display scanning performance.On the basis of the theoretical study of laser raster scanning display,several scanning performance indexes which affect the display quality are studied and analyzed.The scanning linearity,scanning repetition,distortion,waviness and convergence error in laser raster scanning display are analyzed and the specific test method is designed.The feasibility of the proposed scanning performance detection scheme is verified by practical experiments.At the IEC annual Meeting T in October 2018,the new international standard proposal of "Measurement of Optical Performance for Laser Raster Scanning Display" was proposed,and a new international standard was approved after discussion by participating experts.The international standards have entered the stage of PWI(interpreted work item).According to the opinions and Suggestions of experts from various countries and the formulation of international standards,several optical performance testing methods displayed by laser raster scanning have been verified,modified and perfected,and the draft international standard has been preliminarily formed.
