Design And Implement Of International Standard ECDIS Based On COM Technology

Electronic Chart Display and Information System, which is an integrative and real time system developed with navigation technology, has become indispensable in the modern navigation. So it is important to develop our own ECDIS which will definitely bring immensurable economic value.Taking the development of ECDIS as background, the international standards related with ECDIS are studied in this paper, the electronic chart display platform is implemented by component objects and the application system is developed accordingly. The main work in this paper is as follows:The S57 standard electronic chart data model,data structure and encapsulation standard are analyzed, and the composing of S52 standard denotation library is researched. The system electronic navigation chart and denotation library are designed and accomplished.According to the international ECDIS performance standard, the function configuration of ECDIS is conformed, and the whole system is divided into two parts including electronic chart display platform and application system. After analyzing shortcomings of the traditional method, a new method is proposed, which develops the application system based on the chart display platform accomplished by component objects.After deep research of oriented-object COM component module, the configurations of electronic chart display platform and component structure are designed. The component interfaces are designed in detail and realized using ATL technique.Utilizing UML, the analyses and design of electronic chart application system is completed, and the use case diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram and activity diagram of the system are modeled. The ECDIS accordant with the international standard is completed on the Windows system.The electronic chart display platform and the application system are separately developed by the using of the component technology, which can not only ensure the stability and dependability, but also realize the seamless integration and make the system convenient to expand and maintain.
