Xinjiang Altay region,as one of the most important resources producers in the northwestern China,is greatly endowed with copper,gold,copper-nickel and lead-zinc.The rare metal enriched "No.3" ore vein of the Koktokay pegmatite deposit and Kalatongke Cu-Ni deposit in Fuyun County are two typical examples.The Chomhibai area in the middle of the Fuyun County,located in the northeast margin of the Junggar Basin,also at the intersection of different tectonic units,has great mineralization potential.However,because this area belongs to the arid Gobi desert area,limited work has been done.In this paper,taking quemuxiba area of Fuyun County as the research area,the work of 1:25000 remote sensing geological mapping and alteration information extraction is carried out.First,the study area belongs to Gobi landform,with a wide area and few people,and a bad environment.The application efficiency of traditional geological mapping methods is low,so remote sensing geological advantages are prominent.In this paper,the interpretation marks of various geological bodies and geological phenomena in the area are systematically established.Using ETM/TM data,zy3 data and Quick Bird data,the remote sensing geological interpretation of 1:25000 geological and mineral investigation area in qumuxiba area is completed,and the corresponding geological map is compiled.Secondly,ETM/TM remote sensing anomaly is combined with aster alteration anomaly to further screen the anomaly,and finally a prospecting target area combining remote sensing anomaly with geological background and geochemical anomaly is obtained and field verification is carried out.Through the research,the main understanding of this paper is as follows:(1)According to the results of geological interpretation,the work area is vectorized to form remote sensing interpretation geological map.Through comparison with the original geological map of 1:200000 and verification on the spot,the geological characteristics of some stratigraphic units,rocks and dikes are clarified.(2)The formation of limonite and malachite in supergene condition is often closely related to the primary metal minerals,and they show certain characteristic spectral bands in visible light and short wave infrared,so the superposition of the anomalies of limonite and Malachite with the anomalies of hydroxyl bearing alteration minerals may have more geological or prospecting significance.(3)Through geochemical data processing and analysis in the study area,the background characteristics of the geochemical elements of the water sediments in the study area are expounded,and it is concluded that the Cu and Au mineralization potential in this area is relatively huge.Through cluster analysis,the elements are divided into 4 multi-element groups to study their distribution characteristics and delineate 4 geochemical comprehensive anomalies.(4)For the working area,ETM/TM and ASTER Remote Sensing mineralization alteration information extraction effect is good.Combined with the comprehensive analysis of geological background,geochemistry and other multiple information,a total of 3 prospecting targets and 26 prospecting targets are delineated.(5)The two comprehensive copper anomalies discovered are of great guiding significance.The next step is to carry out large-scale geochemical exploration and other mineral exploration work.
