In recent years, national policies have provided increasing support for rural land circulation, and farmers' acceptance of rural land circulation has also continued to increase. This has enabled rural land circulation to be promoted in more and more places. While the scale of rural land transfer is gradually expanding, the efficiency of its transfer is also an issue worthy of attention. This article studies the measurement of rural land circulation efficiency with farmers as the core, which is mainly measured from two aspects: agricultural production and farmers' income.First, based on the panel data of rural land circulation in China, the super-efficiency DEA model was used to calculate the rural land circulation efficiency of 30 provinces of China from 2011 to 2018,the spatial and temporal distribution of rural land circulation efficiency across the country was visualized with the help of Tableau software. On this basis, the use of nuclear density estimation, spatial auto-correlation analysis and other methods to carry out an empirical analysis of the spatiotemporal evolution pattern in China,in order to explore the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of rural land circulation efficiency in China, and finally the convergence test is carried out on the change trend of the efficiency of rural land transfer in China.Based on the above research content, the following conclusions are obtained.First, the average value of China's rural land circulation efficiency from 2011 to2018 was 0.941,which is in a trend of rising volatility as a whole.During the study period, only 10 provinces such as Hainan,Heilongjiang,Jilin, and Shandong had an average value of greater than 1 in rural land circulation efficiency, which was in DEA effective. The development of the efficiency of rural land circulation between provinces has a two-level differentiation pattern. The average efficiency value of Hainan Province is as high as 2.396,while the average efficiency value of Zhejiang Province is only 0.400,the difference between two is more than 5 times. From the comparison of the three regions, there is a serious imbalance in the development of China's rural land circulation efficiency, showing the highest distribution in the central region, and then the eastern region, and the last in the western region.Second,in terms of spatial evolution, the results of the global spatial auto-correlation test show that the spatial distribution of rural land circulation efficiency in China's 30 provinces is not random, and there is a significant global spatial positive correlation between provinces, showing the phenomenon of agglomeration. From the analysis results of the local Moran scatter diagram,it can be seen that most provinces are concentrated in the first and third quadrants, indicating that China's rural land circulation efficiency presents a certain spatial homogenization pattern, which is mainly manifested in high-high agglomeration and low-low agglomeration feature.Third, regarding the analysis of convergence, the results of ? convergence indicate that the efficiency of rural land circulation across the country and the three major regions of eastern, central and western regions from 2011 to 2018 showed the evolutionary characteristics of overall divergence and partial convergence. The ?convergence results show that there is significant absolute ? convergence in the country and the three major regions, indicating that the provinces with low rural land circulation efficiency will also increase faster. With the passage of time, the rural land circulation efficiency within the country and the three major regions eventually converge to their respective steady-state levels.
