Mulan Mountain National Geological Park is located on the northern edge of the Yangtze Block. The administrative division belongs to Wuhan,Hubei Province, with an area of about360km~2.It is the earliest successfully declared national geopark in Wuhan. As an important window for studying the North China Yangtze plate,Mulan Mountain completely preserves the suture zone of the plate formed during the collision between the two tectonic systems of North China and the Yangtze, and the metamorphic complex formed by tectonic shearing under the strong subduction of the plate. These special geological phenomena and rock masses recorded the existence and extinction history of regional ocean crusts, assembling of land masses, magmatic activities and special high-pressure metamorphic processes. In the park, there are special geological rock formations such as the Wudangshan Eryan Formation,Yaolinghe Formation,Gonganzhai Formation, typical blue schist geological sections, and the world-famous high-pressure ultra-high pressure metamorphic zone.Interplate dynamics are of global significance. The large-scale collapsed ruins of Shijingshan in Mulan Mountain are one of the representative collapsed ruins in the entire Wuhan region. They provide valuable field data for studying the background, lithology, genesis, internal and external dynamics of collapsed structures. The formation of the blue schist in the Mulan Mountains is of international significance, providing a direction for the study of petrology, geomorphology, and tectonic geology.Based on the study of the natural geography and geological background of the Mulan Mountain Geopark, the thesis combined field investigation and GIS methods to determine that the main geological resources of the park are divided into 5 categories,10 categories, and 15subcategories,totaling 104 locations.AHP and expert analysis were used to calculate the grade of the geological relics. The characteristics and genesis of several typical geological landscapes in the most concentrated areas of geological relics are analyzed, which fully demonstrates the importance of these geological relics.Based on this,a series of problems faced in the development and protection of the geopark are analyzed, and a coordinated development and protection strategy of"geological resource protection-protective utilization-system optimization management"is proposed.
