With the development of industrial civilization, the demand for energy in human society is increasing. Now that land resources cannot meet the demand, people have begun to develop marine resources. In the development of offshore oil and gas fields, marine risers are a vital component.Carbon fiber composite material risers have huge advantages over traditional metal risers in terms of dead weight and corrosion resistance,so they have become a new choice in offshore oil and gas development. However, the characteristics of composite materials determine that it is difficult for pure composite materials to be directly connected. Therefore, the research on the composite material riser joint performance and its influencing factors is of great significance to the design, production and practical application of composite materials. The research content of this paper is to explore the tensile properties of various carbon fiber composite riser joints and the influence of different factors on the tensile properties of various joints. The main research objects are straight pipe joints,TrapLock joints and Magma joints.First, based on the anisotropic material theory and tensor theory,a suitable parametric finite element model is established for each joint form, and a theoretical method suitable for calculating the stress distribution of the straight adhesive layer is derived to verify the reliability of the finite element method.Next, the basic performance levels of the three types of riser joints are explored using ANSYS software, and the influence of different factors on the tensile properties of various riser joints is explored using the method of control variables. Finally, based on the above research results, the failure modes of different joint forms are analyzed and corresponding performance evaluation and strengthening suggestions are given to provide certain theoretical support for the independent design and manufacture of composite risers. The research in this paper found that the tensile properties of straight pipe joints are low,the structural reliability is poor and easy to disintegrate, also the strengthening space is small.Trap-Lock joints have strong tensile properties and high reliability, but too many factors affect performance and complex modes of influence.Magma joints have strong tensile properties,a simple structure and low self-weight,and a large strengthening space.
