Philosophical Analysis Of Affective Agents

Emotion,cognition and will are regarded as three types of human general consciousness.Human beings can generate and express different emotions according to different situations,and can control their own emotions.In the field of artificial intelligence,the abilities of cognition,decision-making,reasoning,etc.of agents have developed rapidly and reached a relatively advanced level.How to endow human-like emotions to agents has become a hit of discussion and research from all walks of life.Giving human emotion expression to agents not only has an huge influence on building a harmonious human-computer interaction environment and realizing the development of agents towards "goodness",but also is the key for agents to achieve higher and more comprehensive intelligence.Agent-related research provides a good starting point for the philosophical research of artificial intelligence from the perspective of agent.Clarifying the relationship between the concept of agent and its constituent dimensions will help to better think about artificial intelligence from a philosophical point of view;As one of the important dimensions of agent,the deep analysis of emotional agent and the relationship between emotional agent,rational agent and moral agent not only provide philosophical theoretical support for the development of emotional computing of artificial intelligence,but also add new thinking space for the future development of artificial intelligence,especially the emotional level of machines;This paper analyzes the related characteristics of emotion from the machine language level,and reflects on the related ethical issues that may be caused by emotional agents from the perspectives of cognitive philosophy and subjective philosophy,so as to better understand the nature and limitations of artificial intelligence.Adding emotional factors and embedding moral ethics into agents can make artificial intelligence technology better benefit mankind.The technical realization of emotional agent(such as dialogue robot,escort robot,etc.)can build friendly and intimate man-machine relationship,but this relationship should not affect or even replace interpersonal intimacy.We need to put science and technology back where it belongs,while enjoying the convenience of technology.Re-examine life and ensure the harmonious relationship between man and machine to be good.
