The conventional geological mapping method has many problems such as repeated operation,long mapping period and low working efficiency,which is difficult to meet the needs nowadays.Intelligent technology provides a new idea for solving the above geological mapping problems.Introducing intelligent technology into geological body processing to release intelligent generalization can greatly improve work efficiency and reduce repeated operations and improve the quality of maps.In this paper,based on expert knowledge and driven by "data + knowledge",geological body intelligent generalization is achieved,and the experimental results are satisfactory.The test results are in line with the expected goals.This paper has made the following progress and achievements:(1)The generalization technical system of geological body intelligent mapping is constructed.A technology system of intelligent geological body cartographic generalization with "data + knowledge" as the core is designed.By means of graphical interface,expert knowledge,geological body cartographic generalization algorithm,GIS and other technologies and methods are organically integrated,and expert knowledge base is used to drive computer to "understand" expert thinking,so as to realize the comprehensive processing of planar geological bodies(merging,eliminating,exaggerating,etc.).(2)The rules for the generalization technology of geological body intelligent mapping are established.Two kinds of rules,universal rules and special rules,are designed to standardize various generalization and rendering processing in geological mapping.The general rules mainly define the rules for determining geological body contact relation and standard data inheritance,while the special rules mainly include the rules for illustration and legend and the rules for element data sets.(3)A knowledge model for the generalization technology of geological body intelligent mapping is constructed.The knowledge model is expressed in the form of two-dimensional table,and the core content mainly includes geological evolution relationship model,attribute field matching model and layer legend rule model.The model as the expert knowledge of the "main line" fully assists in completing the whole process of geological body cartographic generalization.(4)The generalization algorithm of geological body intelligent mapping integrated with expert knowledge is designed.On the basis of GIS component,we independently develop automatic or semi-automatic data preprocessing and geological body cartographic generalization algorithm to accomplish merging geological bodies,eliminating tiny geological bodies and exaggerating geological body and other tasks of geological mapping generalization driven by expert knowledge.The research results have been integrated into the intelligent geological cartographic software,and have been verified and approved by the real data of geological survey production units,which can provide technical support for improving the working efficiency of geological mapping and speeding up the updating of geological data.
