The Investigations And Analysis On The "Four Pests" Of Different Food Enterprises Before And After Control Treatments

Pest control is one of the important links in food processing enterprises to control food safety.Especially in China,as the increasing concern of government and consumers about food safety,pest control has become a very urgent problem to be solved in the food processing industry,which is particularly sensitive to human health.In this study,three types of food processing enterprises,i.e.biscuit factory,a cake factory,and refrigeration plant were chosen as the investigating sites,and the ’four pests’ in food processing enterprises,namely mouse,fly,mosquito,and cockroach,were chosen as the survey targets.The numbers and density of‘four pests’before and after control treatment were compared and analyzed.The results were summarized as followings:Biscuit factory:During the treatment period,the efficiency of mousetrap was 98.89%,and the density of mice decreased with the increase of treatment time.The regression analysis results using the logarithmic function model showed that the number of mice was 57 pieces before treatment,it reached to minimum after continuously treated by 302.5 days.The regression analysis results using the quadratic polynomial function model showed that the number of mice reach to minimum after intermittently treated by 244.25 days,then rebounded and sequentially increased.The number of flies was declined from 525 pieces(before treatment)to 15 pieces after treatment,and density decrease from 1.12 pieces/(bar·h)to 0.03 piecse/(bar·h).The regression analysis results showed that the density of flies was 1.09 pieces/(bar·h)before treatment,and declined linearly after treatment.Theoretically,flies could be completely extinguished.The number and density of mosquito showed a trend of fluctuations firstly,then declined steadily.The range of number was 15-345 pieces,and the range of density was 0.94-21.56/(point·h).The regression analysis results showed that the density of mosquito was 16.756/(point·h)before treatment,and it was effectively controlled after treatment by 89 days.During the treatment period,the efficiency of cockroach paper was 97.84%.After treatment,cockroach infestation rate decreased from 100%to 7.69%,and its density decreased from 2.3 to 0.01/sheet.The regression analysis results showed that the density of cockroach changed from 2.1296/sheet to the minimum after treatment by 206.3 days.Cake factory:During the treatment period,the efficiency of mousetrap was 98.80%,and the density of mice decreased with the increase of treatment time.The regression analysis results showed that the number of mice was 46.353 pieces before treatment,it reached to minimum after continuously treated by 296.4 days and after intermittently treated by 239.92 days,then rebounded and sequentially increased.The number of flies was descended with the increase of treatment time.The regression analysis results showed that the density of flies was 0.9013 piece/(bar·h)before treatment,it reached steadily the minimum after treatment by 962.5 days.The number and density of mosquito showed a trend of fluctuations firstly,then declined steadily.The range of number was 13-137 pieces,and the range of density was 0.87-9.73/(point·h).The regression analysis results showed that the density of mosquito was 9.9393/(point·h)before treatment,and it was effectively controlled after treatment by 127.5 days.During the treatment period,the efficiency of cockroach paper was 98.85%.After treatment,cockroach infestation rate decreased from 83.87%to 3.23%.The regression analysis results showed that the density of cockroach changed from 1.5738/sheet to the minimum after treatment by 254.1 days.Refrigeration plant:During the treatment period,the efficiency of mousetrap was 98.01%,and the density of mice decreased after treatment.The regression analysis results showed that the number of mice was 54.7 pieces before treatment,it reached to minimum after continuously treated by 279.1 days and after intermittently treated by 218.17 days,then rebounded and sequentially increased.The number of flies,mosquitoes,and cockroaches were all declined with the increase of treatment time.The regression analysis results showed that the density of flies,mosquitoes,and cockroaches were 0.4035,9.6088,and 2.0213,respectively before treatment,while they reached to the minimum after treatment by 1263.4,572.5,and 247.7 days,respectively.Correlation analysis results showed that numbers of mice,flies,mosquitoes,and cockroaches in the three food processing enterprises had significant negative correlation(p<0.05 or p<0.01)with the treatment time.And there were significant negative correlation(p<0.05 or p<0.01)among these four fests,except mice,mosquitoes,and cockroaches in biscuit factory.These results indicated that the numbers of the four fests have an intimate correlation and developed synchronously.In conclusion,there were differences in hazard model of the four pests in the three different types of food processing enterprises,which resulting in the difference of the numbers or density during the treatment period.This results suggested that when controlling the four pests in different types of food processing enterprises need choose the different treatment modes and management scheme design for the effective control of the four pests,according to the enterprise’s surrounding environments and pests damage models.As the intimate correlations among the four pests,we suggested it is important to control the four pests simultaneously in the management design.By a long control treatment,the number and density of the four pests could be significantly decreased in food processing enterprises,which could reduce vector transmission and ensure food safety.
