Assembly lines are traditional but ubiquitous production means.An important decision problems,called assembly line balancing problem,arise and has to be solved when designing and reconfiguring an assembly line.It consists of distributing the total workload for manufacturing the product to be assembled among the work stations along the line.Increasingly complex assembly lines make assembly line balancing increasingly difficult.T company,located in Wenzhou,is a large footwear enterprise.Thanks to cheap and plentiful labor in the early years,the company grew rapidly.However,in recent years,due to the intensification of external competition and rising labor costs,the original extensive assembly line management mode is unsustainable,it is urgent to improve the line efficiency of assembly lines.In this background,this thesis firstly investigates and analyzes the current situation of assembly line of T company,and finds that there are some problems in the assembly line,such as unrealistic production planning,unscientific production scheduling,nonstandard operation of employees,and unstable quality,and briefly discusses the countermeasures to these problems.the production schedule directly affect the balance of assembly line,and assembly line balancing problem is the core of this thesis,thus it will be highlighted in the following;Secondly,T1375 shoes in fifth assembly line were taken for analysis,the observation time of each task was obtained by using the stopwatch methods,the corresponding standard time of each task is obtained after considering rating factors and allowances,the precedence relation between tasks was determined to draw the precedence graph,the assignment restrictions in the assembly line and the situation that the process time exceeded the circle time were analyzed to provide data support for the later model solution.Then,taking the parallel stations and exclusion constraints into consideration,an assembly line balancing model based on 01 programming is constructed with the aim of minimizing the workstation group.Finally,LINGO software is used to implement the algorithm.The effectiveness of the model is verified by comparing the line efficiency of the assembly line under 6 different daily outputs,then the actual scheduling scheme and the model solution under similar outputs are compared,and the results are analyzed.In this thesis,a 0-1 programming model is established to solve the assembly line balancing problem.The model takes into account the factors of parallel workstations and exclusion constrains,which accurately reflects the actual situation of the company's assembly line.The results shows that the line efficiency increased significantly.In the case of similar production,the number of employees required decreased from 51 to 38,and the line efficiency increased from 60.8%to 80.1%.
