Welding process is a very complex process,involving the arc physics,heat transfer,metallurgical changes.Numerical simulation of welding can effectively simulate the various phenomena in the welding process,which plays an important role in the design and optimization of the welding structure,the selection of welding materials.Welding phenomena include heat transfer process,metal melting and solidification,cooling,welding stress and deformation.Simulations of various welding phenomena in computers allow the use of computers to determine the best design,process,and optimum welding parameters for the welding structure and materials.Groove welding is currently used in ships,locomotives,vehicles,bridges,boilers,garages and other industrial products.In this paper,based on the three-dimensional numerical simulation of finite element software,the temperature field of groove weld and the elastic-plastic theory of welding stress field are used to understand the welding temperature field,the change of stress field during welding and the residual stress after welding.This article mainly did the following aspects of research work:A three-dimensional finite element analysis model of mobile heat source and welding temperature field and welding stress-strain field are established.In order to improve the accuracy of calculation,the transition grid of thermodynamics and mechanical properties with temperature changes is considered to ensure the fine meshing of welding seam,to calculate and select the appropriate time step,and to simulate the welding process by using unit life and death technology in the simulation welding.The analysis of the distribution of welding temperature field and the thermal cycling curve at different points provide important basis for the improvement of the welding process in the welding process.And the distribution of welding stress and welding residual stress is analyzed,which provides an important basis for the optimal design of welding structure.The spot welding and full welding between the tanker tank and the bracket are two kinds of welding mode,and static analysis and modal analysis of the two welding modes,to see the difference between the two welding modes.The results of static analysishow that the maximum stress of the tank exceeds the yield limit of the material during spot welding,and the modal analysis also shows that the natural frequency of the tanker during spot welding ismall and resonance easily occurs.And the tanker's welding position and the amount of welding has been optimized.
