The drum is the cutting execution part of the shearer,and the performance of the drum directly affects the production of coal in coal mine.The good drum has the characteristics of good cutting performance,excellent loading efficiency and high yield of block coal.The spherical rollers produced by German companies have such characteristics.However,the drum's overseas production and ocean distribution lead to that the acquisition of such a drum has a long period of time.At the same time,compared with other rollers,the price is more expensive with 6?7 times than ordinary rollers.Therefore,it is of great significance for the digestion and absorption of spherical rollers for the domestic production.This paper can be classified as three parts:The first part mainly introduces the structure and working principle of the spherical drum,describes the installation position of the drum,and explains the working environment of the drum,which includes the mechanical and physical properties of coal and rock.The structure of the spherical drum is detailed,the difference between the two is compared,and the evaluation index of the performance of the drum is pointed out.The practical effect of two kinds of rollers in coal mine production at home and abroad is sorted out.From the point of view of structure and actual working effect,the performance of spherical drum is more superior than that of ordinary spiral drum.The second part points out the shortcomings of the spherical drum in the end disc structure,Especially for rollers with diameter 2000 mm,the use of flat end plate is not suitable,the coal capacity effect is poor,vibration is not good,is not conducive to coal discharge,easy to produce the fluctuation of the whole component.Therefore,the butterfly end plate is designed to meet the coal discharge effect of the end plate.And the finite element modal analysis of the end disk is carried out with the help of ANSYS Workbench,and the higher natural frequency of the end disk is obtained.When the drum is working,the possibility of deformation and fracture failure of the end disk is not great.A geometric model is established by using the solidworks to determine the parameters of the rest of the spherical drum,that is,the blade part.In order to meet the standards of China's coal industry on acceptance,this paper selects the connecting mode of the roller,adopts the square shaft connection,and determines the parameters.A working platform for spherical roller welding is introduced in the third part,and a roller welding tool,i.e.XZ positioner,is designed to ensure the accuracy of the cutting seat welding.The statics analysis of the tooling shows that the tooling operates reliably under both conditions.
