In recent years,square holes have been widely used in many fields such as automobiles,petrochemicals,ships,and aerospace due to their large torque,good guidance,and smooth transmission.Although the square hole can be processed by the method of processing technology and motion mechanism,there are problems such as low processing accuracy,poor surface quality,severe tool failure,and limitations of processing materials.In view of the problems of the above-mentioned machining methods,although the EDM and electrochemical machining methods in the special machining field can realize the machining of square holes on difficult-to-machine materials,they still have low machining accuracy,serious electrode wear,and high machining costs.A series of problems such as environmental pollution.Therefore,how to achieve high efficiency,high precision,low cost,and low pollution in the processing of square holes has become an urgent problem to be solved.To this end,this article proposes a new method of CNC milling of square holes based on Reuleaux triangle.This method is based on the theoretical basis of the movement characteristics of Reuleaux triangle in a square of equal width,using CNC machining as a means,and combining Motion trajectory simulation and square hole milling experiment,research on the machining principle of square hole,the feasibility of the new method of square hole processing,the movement trajectory of the tool and the accuracy of square hole shape.First,based on the theory that the compound movement of Reuleaux triangle rotation and revolution can form a square,a mathematical model of Reuleaux triangle motion trajectory is established,and then the law of motion of Reuleaux triangle is studied.Through the movement in the CAE module of UG software.The simulation function simulates the formation process of the square,and based on the movement process,obtains the relationship between the displacement,velocity,acceleration and time of the movement model,revealing the law of movement of Reuleaux triangle.Secondly,based on the cutting mechanism of the square hole,combined with the geometric characteristics of Reuleaux triangle,a square hole machining tool was designed and manufactured.Through theoretical analysis of numerical control machining and experimental research on milling square holes,the method was proposed and verified.The feasibility of the new method of hole processing,single-factor research variables are put forward for the movement trajectory of the tool,the cutting method of spiral milling is determined,and the CNC machining programming function in the CAM module in the UG software is combined to obtain the CNC milling square hole Processing procedures.Then,in order to further study the influence of the tool motion trajectory on the shape accuracy of the square hole,an evaluation method for the square hole shape accuracy is proposed.The motion model of the square hole tool is created through UG/CAE software,and combined with the movement form and constraints of Reuleaux triangle Conditions,the use of Motion function to realize the simulation of the tool motion trajectory,through the ADAMS/Kinematics solver to calculate the data results of the tool motion model in each step,and combine it with the square hole shape accuracy evaluation method,and then get the best Tool trajectory and CNC machining program.Finally,a qualitative study was conducted on the theoretical shape accuracy of the square hole,and the basic data of the square hole shape was obtained by using the two-dimensional imager combined with the image detection software.Through the analysis of the theoretical accuracy and the actual error,the deviation was revealed The reason is that according to the trend reflected by the experimental data,the reliability of the simulation conclusion is verified.According to the machining principle of the square hole,the general mathematical formula of the tool path corresponding to the square hole of different sizes is obtained,and it is compared with all The conclusions obtained are combined to complete the exploration of the tool movement trajectories of square holes of different sizes.In summary,this article focuses on the new method of CNC milling machining square holes based on the geometric characteristics of Reuleaux triangle,establishes a mathematical model of Reuleaux triangle motion trajectory,verifies the feasibility of the new method of square hole machining,and analyzes The influence of the tool trajectory on the accuracy of the square hole shape leads to the optimal tool motion trajectory for square hole machining,which provides more possibilities for the square hole machining plan,and at the same time for the realization of pentagonal,hexagonal and other polygonal holes Or special-shaped hole processing has laid the theoretical foundation and provided important reference value.
