After several years of development,the bamboo fiber processing and preparation technology has been widely used in the market,with steaming,rolling and combing as the mainstream methods for bamboo fiber development.Although each method has its own advantages,it has complicated processing technology,low productivity,severe environmental pollution caused by alkali boiling in softening process,large energy consumption in sewage treatment,thick,short and hard bamboo fiber products prepared and easy to appear compaction phenomenon.In this paper,the open fiber of fresh bamboo slices was studied by using the method of stretching and bending.Fresh bamboo is regarded as a unidirectional fiber reinforced composite made of bamboo fiber reinforced material and matrix medium.The distribution of bamboo fiber in the direction of wall thickness shows a certain rule,which causes the bamboo material to undergo geometrically nonlinear deformation such as bending,extrusion and stretching under the action of external load,resulting in the bamboo flake's fracture and continuous crack.Finally,bamboo fibers were separated from bamboo slices to obtain coarse fibers.The fiber preparation method has the characteristics of environmental protection and low energy consumption,and the prepared fiber is more stable in quality,better in performance and more uniform in fiber fineness.Based on the analysis of the theory of preparing bamboo fiber by reverse bending stretch of bamboo slices,a test device for preparing bamboo fiber by reverse bending stretch of bamboo slices was developed,which satisfies the conception of preparing bamboo fiber by reverse bending stretch of bamboo slices.The natural bamboo fiber with superior mechanical properties can be directly prepared by boiling bamboo slices in water and softening them under high temperature and pressure.In order to improve the efficiency of bamboo fiber preparation by reverse bending stretch,on the premise of meeting the rationality of equipment design,the ease of installation by workers in the later stage of equipment and the convenience of maintenance in case of equipment damage are fully considered.CATIA software was used to build 3D model of the device.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)A method of making fiber from bamboo without pollution was proposed.The technology principle of fiber preparation by tensile bending is studied.Taking bamboo material as unidirectional fiber-reinforced composite material,the mechanism of the crack generation and destruction of bamboo sheet during the process of reverse bending and stretching was analyzed.The mechanical model of bamboo sheet bending fiber was established.(2)A test device for preparing fiber from bamboo slice by reverse bending was developed.CATIA software is used for 3d modeling to determine the overall size and structure of the device.The feasibility of the fiber preparation device was verified by theoretical analysis.(3)The experiment of bamboo fiber preparation was carried out with a self-assembled apparatus.The effects of bamboo age,heating time,temperature and machine parameters of fiber preparation on bamboo fiber opening were studied.The mechanical properties such as fineness,tensile fracture strength and elastic modulus of bamboo fiber produced by the traditional method and the non-pollution method were measured respectively to demonstrate the superiority of the properties of bamboo fiber prepared by the new method.
