A Study On Stationery Design From The Perspective Of Confucian Culture

The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee put forward the objective of building a strong Socialist culture country,and further development of cultural creativity Industries to meet the people's increasing needs for a diverse and high-quality cultural life,enhancing the cultural confidence.Stationery design,as an important part of China's cultural creativity industry,not only enriches the forms of cultural experience,but also expands the space of stationery industry development.For stationery industry personnel and designers,there are questions worth exploring,such as the ways for stationery industry development to a higher level,pluralistic design methods for stationery design,approaches for better integration of traditional culture and reflection of regional cultural characteristics in stationery design.In order to carry forward traditional culture and promote the development of cultural and creative industries,this topic takes stationery design as an example.Through fieldwork,literature analysis,questionnaire survey,user research,eye-tracking experiment and other research methods,this project explores the strategy of stationery design in the context of Confucian culture and carries out product design practice accordingly.This project firstly analyzes the philosophical thoughts of Confucian culture and the present situation of stationery industry,and proposes the inevitability of stationery design research in the context of Confucian culture in order to lay a good theoretical foundation for stationery design under the background of Confucian culture.Secondly,combined with the previous research,the cultural symbols with representative Confucianism are translated from the perspective of extension and connotation,using Isomorphism,Alien Method,Deconstruction,Metaphor,Abstraction and other methods to translate cultural elements,and apply them to the design of stationery;Finally,the stationery design of Confucian culture is evaluated by using eye tracking technology.Through objective eye movement data and user subjective evaluation feedback,the results show that: First,stationery sets with typical cultural elements are more attractive to users.Secondly,users can quickly interpret the design of cultural connotation,which can attract users to know more about the product.Thirdly,in the comparative analysis of male and female students,female students pay more attention to the design details,while male students pay more attention to the overall design.This study provides reference basis for stationery designers and developers in stationery industry.With the development of social diversity and the continuation in public's consumption upgrade,the stationery industry is facing great opportunities and challenges.The combination of stationery design and Confucian culture,the mainstream ideology in Chinese traditional culture,can not only promote development of stationery industry,but also drive promotion of Confucian cultural creativity industry.
