| Shu embroidery is a unique handicraft in Sichuan and Chongqing,and it is also a productive intangible cultural heritage.Through historical evolution and times,Shu embroidery has condensed the diligence and wisdom of generations of working people,forming today’s bright,beautiful,exquisite and delicate artistic style.With the development of modern society and the advancement of science and technology,Shu embroidery has transformed from practical products to works of art,and gradually fades out of people’s sight.After in-depth field investigation,it is concluded that the existing Shu embroidery products are concentrated in the middle-aged and elderly stage for consumer groups,and only a few Shu embroidery stationery products are suitable for teenagers and children.In order to let more people understand and know Shu embroidery,to realize the purpose of inheriting Shu embroidery;to make Shu embroidery products more diverse to adapt to modern social life;to solve the problem of the lack of young consumers.Combining market research and literature collection,I propose to incorporate Shu embroidery into the design of children’s toys.This article is divided into five chapters.The research results of the first four chapters will support the design practice of Chapter 5.The article uses one chapter for Shu embroidery and children’s toys to study and discuss.First of all,through network research,field visits and other methods to investigate and analyze the general situation and current situation of Shu embroidery,and understand the dilemma that Shu embroidery is facing at this stage.Use literature collation and case analysis to summarize the colors,patterns and themes of Shu embroidery works,and find the color rules,patterns and creative themes of Shu embroidery.Secondly,combined with child psychology literature to grasp the growth and development status and psychological status of children at various ages,it is concluded that children at different ages have different preferences for the color and shape of children’s toys.Secondly,using the questionnaire survey method to understand the actual needs of children’s toy consumers.Finally,according to the previous research results,the concept and method of Shu embroidery children’s toy design are formulated.Finally,applying the proposed concepts and methods,selecting animal shapes that children like and incorporating Shu embroidery patterns for processing and re-creation,and designing Shu embroidery children’s toy products suitable for modern children’s play based on children’s vision development,psychological characteristics and preferences.This research is not only an effort to expand the types of Shu embroidery products,but also solves the problem of the lack of Shu embroidery in the design of children’s toys.It is also the study of how traditional culture is integrated into modern society,and it is the exploration of how intangible cultural heritage should be inherited and developed. |
