Research On Modern Children’s Toys

As a tool for children to play,children’s toys have special significance for children.By re-examining the development of children’s toys in modern China,we can find that there have been many changes compared with ancient children’s toys.Influenced by traditional Chinese culture such as farming culture,children’s toys in ancient China show the characteristics of being related to seasons,having regional characteristics and full of good wishes.In addition,its material composition is also very rich.Many characteristics converge on the carrier of toys,making Chinese ancient children’s toys in the world of toys into a whole.In modern times,Chinese began to observe the outside world and actively learn western advanced matters due to the infiltration of European style.In this process,the concept of "child-oriented" gradually took root in China,which is related to the promotion of children’s status.Due to the emphasis on children,the intellectual elite began to understand the knowledge related to children,the first is children’s toys.In modern times,toys have obtained a completely different evaluation and status from ancient times.Playing with toys is no longer considered as "plaything lost ambition",but a good way to enlighten wisdom and cultivate habits.On this basis,the intellectual elite began to advocate the development of new toys.The composition of new toys consists of two aspects,one is to learn the advantages of foreign toys,and the other is to improve the disadvantages of domestic toys.Through the above measures,children’s toys in modern times produced many changes.First,children’s toys are combined with the concepts of education and science,and there are new toys such as educational toys.Second,by introducing new materials and improving old materials to make children’s toys with improved materials.Third,the production methods and sales channels of toys are more diversified.The above changes appear in Shanghai area which is deeply influenced by foreign culture.In contrast,Beijing area is more deeply influenced by traditional culture,and the traditional children’s toys are more profound.Through the case study of the transformation of children’s toys in modern Beijing area,we can further understand how traditional toys in modern transformation to survive.As an important town of traditional toys,children’s toys in Beijing are abundant,diverse and distinctive.Despite the decline of toy manufacturing in the Beijing area due to various reasons,they are still popular among children.With this idea in mind,many industrialists who are enthusiastic about the development of children’s toys in Beijing have adopted the means of establishing factories and toy improvement clubs to help transform traditional children’s toys.These experiments have helped revive traditional toys.Through the vigorous propaganda of the intellectual elite and the hard work of the businessmen,the domestic children’s toy market develops rapidly.At the same time,the malpractices of the toy market have also emerged.Some illegal businesses produce inferior toys that endanger children’s lives and safety,which has aroused the concern of the government.In order to regulate the toy market,the government has on the one hand made relevant policies to punish illegal vendors,and on the other hand held relevant activities to guide the public to buy high-quality toys.In the development process of modern children’s toys,the intellectual elite,the government,the three forces of the businessmen not only cooperate with each other but also restrict each other.It is the interaction between different forces that forms a standardized toy market and a good social atmosphere,and children’s toys can be successfully transformed.
