Under the background of increasing technology iteration speed and increasingly fierce market product competition,technology innovation is of great significance for enterprises to maintain market advantage and achieve sustainable development in the process of product innovation,and it is also a key factor to improve the core competitiveness and innovation quality of China’s technology products.As an important topic in technology innovation,technology opportunity identification guides technology innovation activities by accurately discovering and capturing technology opportunities.Therefore,it has been deeply studied by scholars and researchers in the academic and practice.However,previous studies on technology opportunity identification focus on the analysis of the quantitative characteristics of knowledge elements in the product technology system.These studies based on bibliometrics and statistical analysis are difficult to deeply grasp the technical topics and connotations reflected by knowledge elements as well as the diversity and relevance among knowledge elements.To a large extent,it can only provide inspiration for enterprises and researchers at the macro level,so it is difficult to provide reference for identifying or even generating new technology opportunity at the micro operational level.In view of this,the purpose of this study is to propose a technology opportunity identification framework combining patent mining and knowledge graph,so as to accurately identify the technology opportunity through in-depth analysis of the technology system,and provide specific reference for researchers in the process of product innovation.The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:Firstly,patent mining is used to conduct in-depth analysis of patents.Specifically,LDA topic clustering is used to extract technical topics and technical keywords from patent documents.Combined with engineering model TEMPEST and idea generation model SCAMPER,technical topics and technical keywords are analyzed to clarify the technical connotation and diversified characteristics of knowledge elements.At the same time,the patent document can be structured.Secondly,based on structured patent documents,ontology of knowledge graph is designed to construct knowledge graph that can reflect the semantic network of knowledge elements in patents.Association rules and recommendation techniques are used to recommend innovation disciplines,so as to guide researchers to carry out technology innovation.Finally,in order to verify the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed framework of technology opportunity identification,the technical field of coalbed methane exploitation was selected for case verification,and finally the technology opportunity in the field of coalbed methane exploitation were identified and generated.The research results show that the technology opportunity identification framework based on patent mining and knowledge graph constructed in this paper can deeply mine the technical topics and connotations of the knowledge elements in the technical system,as well as the diversity and relevance characteristics of the knowledge elements.So as to provide researchers with targeted innovation disciplines in the process of technology opportunity identification to inspire idea generation,and finally realize technology innovation That is,through patent analysis,mining knowledge elements related to technical topics,and then building a multi-dimensional semantic network between knowledge elements through knowledge graphs,and ultimately helping to recommend more potential innovation disciplines.At the theoretical level,the research expands the traditional perspective of technology opportunity identification,enriches the theoretical system of technology opportunity identification related research,which is different from previous studies that focused on the number of knowledge elements of technology systems.The research is based on patent mining and knowledge graphs,combined with the characteristics of the engineering field itself to construct a semantic knowledge network in the technical field,which can provide a new framework for identifying and generating new technology opportunity;At the practical application level,the framework constructed in the research can provide technology-oriented companies with in-depth analysis at the micro level in the technology opportunity identification,which will help overcome blindness and subjectivity in the process of technology opportunity identification,and improve the decision-making efficiency of researchers and ultimately help companies gain advantages in product development strategies.
