Shannxi-Inner Mongolia cold field has superior geological conditions.The coal seam has the property of stable and simple structure,the bedding and joint structures are undeveloped.However,the coal quality is relatively hard,but it suitable for high speed mining.Recently,increasing the traction speed and cutting power of the shearer are the main methods to increase the production efficiency for coal enterprises.However,the selection of traction speed,drum rotation speed,cutting power and traction power are mainly based the method of analogy,which lacks the theoretical basis.In this paper,it is focused on the coal condition of Shannxi-Inner Mongolia region to explore the relationship between cutting and traction characteristics by using the existing shearer operation data.The big data analysis technic is applied to the shearer industry,which provides new ideas for the shearer future design by data analysis.The new technics provides theoretical and data supports for future design of the shearer in the region of Shannxi-Inner Mongolia.Also,it provides an important reference for the development of high-speed shearer.The paper is based on the 11 data bases from 4 types of machines which are operated in Shannxi-Inner Mongolia region.At first,by using existing theoretical formula of shearer cutting and traction feature to develop the boundary condition of drum and traction speed,as well as the matching curve of cutting and traction power,theoretically.The collected data was tested to detect abnormal values,and then the data cleaning algorithm was developed for the targeted values.According to the location data to screen the correct cutting conditions.The paper analyzes the speed distribution of the shearer under actual conditions,the best drum rotation speed and the shearer traction speed accordance based on the best cutting thickness were provided.By using Python language,the power of front and rare cutting motors was analyzed and visualized.By comparison of total cutting power vs.energy consumption on different installed powers,coal mines and time period,the specific power calculation method was generated and it was proved.
