With the rapid economic growth and changes in people's lifestyles,custom furniture companies are facing increasingly fierce competition in the market,while in the process of product development there is demand for methods of acquisition is not standardized,unclear and other issues,companies want to develop competitive products in a competitive market environment,it is necessary to find the target users and markets,the use of systematic management methods,and then a comprehensive and effective provision of products and services The company must identify the target users and markets and adopt a systematic management approach to provide products and services comprehensively and effectively.Integrated Product Development(IPD)is a set of user-oriented new product development management model,concept and method,which emphasizes market demand as the driving force of product development,and manages product development as an investment decision.The IPD model of user requirements research focuses on deep research on requirements acquisition methods to provide accurate design direction for new product development,timely response to market demand,and shorten the R&D cycle..This topic takes custom closet as the research object,mainly using IPD model,supplemented by scientific research methods such as literature research method,market research method and correlation analysis method to conduct in-depth research on custom closet user demand research.Firstly,we analyze and study the theory of custom closet and IPD model,and propose the development process and demand management process of custom closet products based on IPD model.Secondly,according to the demand management process,user demand research in four stages of demand collection,demand analysis,demand realization and demand verification is carried out;detailed statistical analysis of both internal demand and external demand is carried out from questionnaire statistics,terminal mall interviews,sales data analysis and exhibition trends.Then,using $APPEALS tool,correlation analysis method and expert judgment method,the gray correlation analysis and weight value calculation of eight dimensions of internal and external demands:price,accessibility,packaging,performance,ease of use,guarantee degree,life cycle cost and social acceptance degree,and establish custom closet user demand model.Finally,the demand model was applied to guide the design planning and positioning,and the conceptual design was completed;using the$APPEALS analysis tool,the design solutions were evaluated in terms of demand fit,and it was found that the design elements of performance,shape,ease of use and other dimensions of the design solutions were at a higher level compared with those of the solutions that did not use the demand model,thus confirming that the custom closet user demand acquisition under the IPD model is correct and feasible.This also confirms the correctness and feasibility of the IPD model of custom wardrobe user needs acquisition.The key to the application of IPD model is to manage the demand analysis process in a structured manner and to have a more comprehensive understanding of all aspects of product development,such as social acceptance and assurance,to expand the demand acquisition dimension.The research ideas and methods in this paper provide new ideas for the demand acquisition of other customized products,and make the findings more scientific through quantitative data analysis results.
