Research And Innovative Design Of Traditional Dress Based On Huian Woman’s Wedding Customs

Marriage culture is a microcosm of the development of an ethnic group or a region,and is dominated by the political and economic factors of its time or period,bearing the unique cultural connotation and historical accumulation of this region.It is the same for women in Hui’an.Its unique folk culture is not only displayed in the daily dress,but also reflected in the unique wedding culture.In Huidong there is a saying,"three important things in life,marriage,delivery,be grandfather",in three major events,marriage is the first.From this sentence,we can see that Huidong region attaches importance to marriage customs,and its wedding dress is also in particular,which is worth studying.Since ancient times,as one of the most luxurious dress for women,wedding clothes can best reflect the exquisite craftsmanship,unique aesthetic characteristics and cultural connotations.Huian woman’s wedding dress is the condensation of natural environment and unique aesthetic,and it is the embodiment of unique regional culture formed in the long historical development process.The study of wedding dress has higher practical art and folklore culture value,which is of great significance for propagandizing Huian woman’s folk culture and inheriting dress skill.Based on the marriage custom culture in Huian area,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis from geographical environment,humanistic environment,religious belief and so on,and traces the cultural origin of marriage custom.Through field investigation,combined with related historical documents,books and other scholars’ research results,the century-old changes of Huian woman’s traditional wedding dress system are divided into three stages: the middle and lateQing Dynasty,the late Qing Dynasty to the early liberation period and the post-liberation period.According to the characteristics of dress form,color collocation and cultural implication of each stage,the research is carried out and an objective comment is made on the basis of one’s own specialty.The emphasis of this paper is to combine geography and human environment,religious belief,background of the times,social trend of thought,ethics to analyze the evolution of Huian marriage custom and wedding dress,to explore the appeal of its national spirit.This paper expounds the situation of the improvement and reform of his wedding dress,and summarizes its unique cultural connotation of fusion of new and old,pluralistic and present.Finally,the traditional patterns of wedding dress are analyzed and refined,through embroidery,printing and other design techniques,combined with modern aesthetic characteristics of innovative design,explore the inheritance and development of Huian wedding dress.
