Study On The Quality Improvement For Bumper Painting Surface Of Company MPT

This paper aims at studying the quality improvement of MPT’s bumper painting surface.The analysis is made with 5M1 E to find out the reasons affecting the film thickness,color and appearance of MPT company bumper paint coating.The main reasons of above mentioned issues included that no monitor and control on serial production quality management,like paint cloudy issue.Besides no continuous quality improvement actions were taken on serial production as well as raw material management,staff was entering into the painting booth frequently,equipment was not properly maintained,lacking of cleaning manual and standard procedures in part of area.Based on the root causes we found and current situation of MPT,actions like total quality management theory and 8D method are carried out to develop quality improvement strategies.Besides,to guarantee the effective implementation of the strategies to reach the goal of continuous quality improvement,support measures are necessary and stared from two sides,one is to build up a FTT group,and the other is to establish the rewarding system of putting forward valuable proposals.Building up FTT group with responsibilities assigned to individuals.The rewarding system will be helpful to encourage all staff participating and inspire their initiative and innovation to propose more valuable improvement measures.Through continuous improvement actions,the goal of increasing MPT’s FTT will be reached.The customer satisfaction will be increased with higher painting product quality.The study is a combination of theory and practice.It helps the application research of quality management theory and provides favorable reference for auto parts industry.Furthermore,it shows guiding significance for other auto companies to improve painting quality.
