Elongation flanging is one of the most common forming methods in processing technology.Outer-support incremental forming has been applied to the elongation flanging process in this paper.Combined with the numerical simulation method,the research based on single-point incremental forming is carried out on the elongation flanging process,including round hole flanging and square hole flanging.It has important guiding significance for the application of progressive forming to elongation flanging.Based on the DYNAFORM analysis platform,this paper builds a finite element model of the outer-support incremental forming of round hole flanging.The numerical simulation of the elongation flanging process based on single-point incremental forming has been carried out and the influence of process and geometric parameters on the forming results and forming quality of the flanging parts has been analyzed.For the special-shaped hole flanging in elongation type,the process based on the square hole flanging has been studied.The design of square hole flanging prefabricated holes has been studied,and the formula of ideal prefabricated square hole fillet radius is proposed;The factors in the process of square hole flanging have been studied such as tool diameter and layer-feed and geometric parameters such as flanging edge length.The process characteristics and forming results of incremental forming of elongation flanging under different materials have been studied.The forming characteristics of ST16 steel,copper and1060 aluminum sheet under different process parameters and geometric parameters have been studied,and the theory of qualitative change zone was proposed to summarize the typical failure criteria of the material in incremental forming of elongation flanging process;The similarities and differences between the forming results of different materials in the process of incremental forming have been discussed.A new type of adaptive control incremental forming method has been studied,and the path design and forming results of the application in process of elongation flanging were discussed and compared.Proposed the three principles of adaptive control of helix inclination design and the three principles of adaptive control of tool speed;the use of adaptive control incremental forming method greatly shortens the processing and simulation calculation time,while improving the forming uniformity of thickness.
