As a medium-grade non-oriented silicon steel,50W470 is widely used in motor products,especially high-efficiency motors.Due to the overcapacity of low-grade non-oriented silicon steel and the energy efficiency upgrade of the national motor industry,the demand for medium and high-grade non-oriented silicon steel is increasing year by year.In the traditional production process of non-oriented silicon steel,it is difficult to guarantee and improve the performance due to the impermanent process,which has become a problem that needs to be solved at present.There are abundant rare earth resources in the local area.Previous studies have shown that adding rare earth to non-oriented silicon steel can affect its performance,but previous studies have mostly focused on high-grade products with normalized processes.This article studies the influence of rare earth Ce and its addition on the structure,texture and magnetic properties of 50W470 steel based on the traditional process of a certain factory.It provides a certain theoretical and practical reference for using the advantages of local light rare earth resources,simplifying the process and reducing costs..In this paper,50W470 steel with different Ce content smelted in a steel plant was selected,the macrostructure of the cast slab was observed by the hot acid method,and the center equiaxed crystal ratio was calculated.The Zeiss metallurgical microscope and the scanning electron microscope were used to observe the hot-rolled plate and the cold Microstructures of rolled and annealed plates;thermodynamic formulas were used to calculate the formation sequence of rare earth inclusions,scanning electron microscopy combined with energy spectrometer were used to observe the inclusions in the cast slab and annealed structure;X-ray diffractometer and field were used The emission scanning electron microscope has carried out macro and micro texture tests on the hot-rolled and annealed plates;the magnetic properties of the annealed plates have been tested by the single-piece method.The effects of rare earth Ce and its addition on the structure,inclusions,texture and magnetic properties of 50W470 non-oriented silicon steel were studied separately,and the mechanism of action was further analyzed.The research results show that the 50W470 non-oriented silicon steel with rare earth Ce content of 0ppm,22ppm,66ppm,the billet structure is mainly composed of columnar crystal regions and equiaxed crystal regions.With the increase of rare earth content,the equiaxed crystal ratio increased from 43%to 51%;the average grain size of the hot-rolled plate increased from 26.03?m to 33.25?m,and the percentage of recrystallization increased from 24%to 37%;the average grain size of the annealed plate increased from 36.20Increase to 39.31?m.The addition of rare earth Ce to steel can coarsen the inclusions and reduce the number of inclusions,especially the number of fine inclusions.The rare earth inclusions produced are mainly Ce2O2S and Ce Al O3,and the morphology is mostly spherical,and they are easy to compound and precipitate with Al N,Mn S and Al2O3to form rare earth composite inclusions.When the amount of rare earth Ce is 66 ppm,there is no Mn S inclusion in the steel,and the rare earth or its composite inclusions are more agglomerated or coarsened.The number of inclusions in the size range of 2 to 5?m is greater than that of the other two steels.With the increase of Ce content,the Gaussian texture of the surface layer of the hot-rolled sheet gradually weakened,and the proportion of{001}<uvw>texture in the core gradually decreased;the Z factor of the annealing texture gradually increased,and the proportion of unfavorable texture decreased.The decrease in the number of fine inclusions,the increase in the annealing grain size,and the decrease in the proportion of unfavorable textures are the reasons for the improvement of the magnetic properties of the 50W470 non-oriented silicon steel.When the addition amount of rare earth Ce is 66ppm,its magnetic performance is the best,the magnetic induction is 1.68T,and the iron loss is 3.19W/kg.
