| Affected by China’s liberalization of the second-child policy in 2015,the number of children in China has increased significantly,which in turn promoted the increasing demand for children’s toys.With the improvement of the living conditions of urban and rural residents in our country and the change of educational concepts,more and more consumers in the market consume the toy puzzle function as the main consideration for product purchase.Spatial cognition is considered to be an important part of children’s intelligence.Good spatial cognition can help children better adapt to the environment.It is especially important to cultivate spatial cognition for children in the sensitive period of space.However,many parents just take it as a sign that their children have become naughty,and the sense of space is not fully developed during the sensitive period,which will have a profound impact on the learning of many subjects.At the same time,the toy design that should pay attention to the training of children’s spatial cognitive abilities during this period also reflects some shortcomings,such as the lack of pertinence of spatial cognition training,insufficient functions,short use cycles,ignoring children’s emotions,and personalization.Therefore,how to help children smoothly through the sensitive period of space and improve their spatial cognition has become a new direction in the design of children’s toys.From theoretical analysis to practical research,this article is divided into four parts "theoretical research-product research-user research-design practice".The first part is the theoretical research.Through the literature method,the children’s space-sensitive period and spatial cognition theory are studied,and the children’s spatial cognition in the space-sensitive period are summarized.Secondly,through the related research on sustainable design,explore the potential of children’s toys.Continuous design mode.The second part is product research.Through market research,we obtain the classification information of existing children’s house products on the market in our country,and classify and summarize the shortcomings shown in the design.The third part is user research,designing questionnaires and user interviews to obtain relevant user information,based on this survey and analyzing the use of children in the sensitive period of space and the potential needs of the existing Playhouses in the market,using the Kano model for children’s Playhouses Perform quantitative research on the functional requirements of users.The fourth part is the design practice part.Starting from children’s cognitive needs of the Playhouse,it proposes the design strategy of creating a fun atmosphere,puzzle space design,and changing the spatial structure in the design process of children’s Playhouse,and integrate it into a children’s space The systematic design of children’s Playhouses under the needs of cognitive experience can improve children’s spatial perception ability,spatial representation ability and spatial imagination ability.This study conducts a staged study on the characteristics of spatial cognition and behavior of children in a sensitive period of space,systematically explores the actual needs of children in the design of Playhouses during this period,and explores strategies for cultivating children’s spatial cognitive ability through the design of children’s Playhouses It also guides the design practice,in order to explore the systematic design strategy of toy products starting from the needs of children’s spatial cognition,promoting children’s cognition and overall development,and providing a theoretical reference for the design practice of children’s Playhouses. |
