The tailings pond is an important facility in mine engineering,under the current national situation,with the increasing demand for the capacity of tailings ponds,the national laws and regulations for the construction of new tailings ponds are becoming increasingly strict,and the limiting factors are increasing,it is very difficult for mine enterprises to build new tailings ponds because they not only need to reduce the occupation of land but also need to protect the environment and minimize the safety risk of the proposed tailings ponds.Under the dual factors of strict national policy restrictions and difficulties in finding suitable sites for stockpiling tailings,in the face of the need to continue production,enterprises need to continue stockpiling tailings in the case of closing or already closed tailings ponds,other technical means are needed to solve the problem of tailings stockpiling.At present,the general practice adopted in china is to increase the height and enlarge the capacity of tailings pond,the traditional tailings discharge is mainly based on wet discharge,while the actual engineering application of paste tailings storage is still few.In this paper,a series of researches are carried out by taking a wet depot to change paste storage as an example.Paste stockpiling tailings is an improvement of the traditional tailings stockpiling method,as a new technology,especially in the plain area,it is the first time to try the application of the tailing-paste deposit,which is an innovative exploration and has important research value,the risk of dam-break of paste tailings becomes the focus of this paper.The main work and achievements of this thesis are as follows:(1)The causes of tailings dam instability and the research status of paste tailings are summarized,the slope stability is analyzed theoretically,and the dam-break mechanism of tailings dam is studied,which provides a theoretical basis for simulating the stability of pasty dam body with finite element method.(2)A three-dimensional numerical model is established based on the data of a flat-land tailing pond in Jidong Plain,and the relevant parameters of tailings materials are obtained from the survey report,based on the finite element strength reduction method,the stability of the flat-land tailing pond dam is analyzed by the MIDAS GTS software,and the stability of the dam is evaluated by calculating the stability factor of safety and the potential plastic deformation area.(3)According to the actual topography and landform of the tailings pond,taking the mathematical model of the tailings pond as the research object,the fluid formed after the collapse of the tailings paste is regarded as bingham fluid,the rheological parameters of the tailings slurry are measured through the rheological tests,and simulated by the fluid software FLOW-3D,the evolution range and velocity distribution of debris flow after dam break are calculated,which provides a valuable reference for the design of tailings dam.(4)According to the simulation results,a barrier was set up on the northwest side of the village,after the barrier was added,the protection simulation analysis was carried out,compared with no barrier,it is concluded that setting a barrier can effectively reduce the inundation area,and provide better protection for downstream village,which verifies that the block is reasonable and effective.
