Research And Innovative Application Of Dai Brocade

Dai brocade is a kind of minority brocade in China.It originated in the Han Dynasty and has a history of more than 3,000 years.Dai brocade,as a special brocade of Dai nationality,contains rich Dai nationality characteristics and cultural implication.As the carrier of culture of Dai nationality,the value of Dai brocade is inestimable.Through the careful observation of life,the dai people have woven the Dai brocade with national characteristics through their own hands,integrating their own aesthetic implication and their beautiful yearning for life.To some extent,the Dai brocade also reflects the spiritual world and inner feelings of the Dai people,and reflects their living habits and religious beliefs.But with the impact of modern textile technology,Dai brocade has been endangered.Therefore,the government attaches great importance to the protection of traditional culture,Dai brocade is no exception.The State Council and the local government have taken a series of protection measures,making more and more people start to pay attention to,know about and protect Dai brocade.How to keep the original national characteristics of the Dai brocade on the basis of innovative design,so that it integrates modern aesthetic ideas,so as to protect and develop the Dai brocade,promote the traditional culture,has become a research hotspot of many scholars.To broaden the traditional Dai brocade technology application domain,in this article,through the application of Dai brocade form,cultural connotation and weaving process,artistic features,the fabric of innovation design,and related product design,etc,from which summarizes the Dai national minority people’s life style and aesthetic orientation,at the same time understanding of Dai brocade in the Dai People’s Daily life purpose and meaning.Through a large number of documents,interviews and research as well as picture data,this paper understands the weaving technology of Dai brocade,and analyzes the artistic characteristics of Dai brocade.It is found that because of the different geographical environment in Xishuangbanna and Dehong,the Dai people in Xishuangbanna and Dehong are different in life style and aesthetic consciousness.As a result,the patterns and weaving techniques of the Dai brocade in these two places are different.The Dai brocade in Xishuangbanna is more indigenous and has the ethnic significance of Dai nationality.The Dai brocade in Dehong area has more exotic flavor because it integrates the textile culture of different regions.Finally,it discusses how to combine the pattern and color characteristics of traditional Dai brocade with modern aesthetic concept,and integrate them into the design of modern clothing and cultural and creative products through different application forms.Finally through the innovation design,to the Dai brocade pattern design again,the use of different types and specifications of yarn and different fabric organization for fabric weaving design,hope to weave out in line with the modern aesthetic Dai brocade fabric,let the Dai brocade in the modern consumer market can have a broader space for development.This paper uses modern jacquard weaving technology to design and weave Dai brocade innovatively.First of all,the traditional patterns of Dai brocade were adopted.Through different arrangement and color collocation,the patterns of Dai brocade were formed in line with modern aesthetic consciousness.The physical fabric is then woven using modern weaving techniques.The traditional Dai brocade usually uses cotton and silk.In this project,22.2/24.4dtex mulberry silk is used as the raw material of the warp thread,and 166.5dtex polyester color yarn is used as the weft thread.Compared with the traditional Dai brocade,the fabric is more delicate in style and more in line with the needs of modern consumers.It is hoped that through this research,the Dai brocade can find a balance between tradition and innovation,make the traditional things more in line with the modern aesthetic and the current consumer market hot spots and needs,and make the Dai brocade regain its vitality and display its brilliance on the stage of China and even the world.At the same time,it also hopes to provide some text and picture materials for reference and research ideas in different directions for future researchers engaged in Dai and Brocade.Finally,it is hoped that this research can provide the best help for the inheritance and protection of the country’s intangible cultural heritage.
