Scandium and its compounds play an irreplaceable role in modern scientific research and application,but due to their high price,they are only widely used in military industry and aerospace.The abundance of scandium is not low on earth,but its distribution is very scattered and most of it is associated with other mineral deposits,which makes it very difficult to extract,so the price remains high.At present,the vast majority of scandium extracted in industry comes from the waste residue,waste liquid and waste gas of other metal minerals.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the appropriate extraction process for its production.Only by reducing the extraction cost as much as possible can it play a greater role in the industrial field.In this paper,the optimum extraction conditions of three traditional phosphoric acid extractants P204,P507 and P350 for scandium containing solution were studied by spectrophotometry,and then the optimum stripping processes of HCl and Na OH were studied respectively.It is found that although the extraction rate of phosphoric acid extractant is very high,the traditional solvent extraction is often accompanied by the pollution caused by waste acid and phosphoric acid extractant.In order to solve the problem of waste liquid discharge,this paper explores the best process conditions for the adsorption of Scandium by four cation exchange resins.Although the adsorption effect is slightly inferior to that of extraction,there will not be too much waste liquid.After that,this paper further explored the catalytic performance of scandium,and prepared mesoporous silica and activated carbon supported scandium oxide catalysts respectively,and characterized the synthetic materials to verify whether the preparation was successful.After characterization,the catalytic effects of the two catalysts on the reaction of adipic acid and isooctanol to prepare plasticizer dioctyl adipate(DOA)were explored respectively.The esterification rates of the two catalysts involved in the reaction were more than 90%,which provided a new environmental protection Catalysis for the synthesis of dioctyl adipate and had far-reaching significance for the catalytic preparation of plasticizer.
