Flotation is one of the most mature beneficiation methods used in non-ferrous metallurgical beneficiation processes.In the current non-ferrous metallurgical beneficiation process,the flotation process accounts for more than 50% of the application and shows an increasing trend year on year.As slurry level and concentration are key parameters that directly affect the beneficiation grade,real-time monitoring and intelligent control of slurry level and concentration are particularly important today when energy saving and emission reduction are being vigorously promoted in China.Due to the complex composition of the slurry,which is a mixture of solid,liquid and gas,with a 5-10 mm thick foam on the surface and violent fluctuations in the slurry level,it is very difficult to measure the level and concentration of the slurry.At the same time,the slurry is very corrosive and adhesive,and direct measurement is very costly for sensors and other detection equipment.In response to these difficulties,this paper presents a study of the slurry level and concentration detection device and intelligent level control based on the project "Intelligent level and concentration measurement and control system for flotation tank" of a steel enterprise in Sichuan.On this basis,the gas overflow method is proposed to measure the slurry level,the trend prediction method to control the slurry level and the ultrasonic decay method to detect the slurry concentration.(1)Review relevant literature and patents,become familiar with the process and characteristics of the flotation process,gain an in-depth understanding of the currently available methods for detecting pulp level and concentration,study the difficulties faced in detecting pulp level and concentration,and propose a solution to the relevant problems.(2)Design the mechanical structure,electrical schematic,PLC control program and filtering circuit for the proposed solution.(3)Design the system experiment and record the experimental data,establish the mathematical model,fit the experimental data through MATLAB software,correct the level and concentration calculation formula,and reduce the measurement error.(4)Field trials in a titanium processing plant of a Sichuan iron and steel enterprise to test the complete set of detection and control system and verify the calculation formula,the experimental results show that the liquid level measurement and control error is within ±10mm.(5)Using the overflow method to propose a concentration detection method,the relevant theoretical analysis and calculation,and the establishment of mathematical models.
