Since the 21st century,the construction industry,as an important material production sector in China,has made a great contribution to China’s economic development.However,the construction industry also has the disadvantages of large resource consumption and heavy pollution,which affect the sustainable development of this industry.At the same time,due to the heterogeneity of regional conditions,there are significant differences in the development level of construction industry in different regions of China.However,at present,studies on Green total factor productivity(GTFP)and its influencing factors in the construction industry mostly ignore the spatial effect.How to scientifically and reasonably analyze the correlation between regional spatial effect and the development of construction industry,grasp the influencing factors of the difference in green development of construction industry in different regions,and coordinate and link the development of construction industry between regions have become the key contents of the research on how to improve the development capacity of high-quality construction industry in the new era.Based on economic growth theory and spatial heterogeneity theory,this article takes spatial econometrics as the main research method,and uses various econometric software and spatial mapping software,including Maxdea Pro,SPSS,Geo Da,Arc GIS,GWR,etc.,to study the spatial heterogeneity of green total factor productivity in China’s inter-provincial construction industry in detail.This article from the national statistical yearbook from 2008 to 2017 in addition to Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan and Tibet 30 provincial construction of input and output data,choose green total factor productivity as the main indexes of evaluation construction green development,the resource consumption and CO2 emissions into the analysis framework to use ultra-efficient SBM-Malmquist productivity index model to calculate the national and provincial construction green total factor productivity index and its decomposition,according to the calculated result analysis the change law of construction GTFP,the spatial difference of GTFP in construction industry is confirmed by moran index and semi-variation function.Finally the conclusion into the geographically weighted regression model based on spatial difference analysis of the key differences in total factor productivity construction green area factor,in order to analyze construction economic growth dependent on energy consumption and pollution emission,correct evaluation of construction quality of economic growth and its sustainability of development path,make up for a lack of construction in the study of the production efficiency.Finally,based on the results of empirical analysis,the paper puts forward some countermeasures and Suggestions to improve the green total factor productivity and promote the sustainable development of the construction industry.The study found that:from 2009 to 2017,our country construction GTFP index in a steady upward trend,and the main factors that promote GTFP exponential growth is technological progress,the main factors that hinder the GTFP growth in the decline of pure technical efficiency show that although construction scale in our country on the rise,construction process was optimized,but has not improved on the allocation of resources,the management level.Among them,the development of GTFP in the central and eastern regions of China is relatively stable,while that in the northeast and western regions fluctuates greatly.Although the eastern region contains the provinces with the strongest economy in China,it shows a relatively weak growth trend,while many provinces in the northeast and the west show growth momentum and development potential.The results of the spatial effect test show that the GTFP index of the regional construction industry in China has a significant positive spatial relationship and an obvious trend of spatial agglomeration.Moreover,from 2009 to 2017,the spatial difference and spatial autocorrelation have been gradually enhanced.By introducing the geographical weighted regression model to analyze the relevant influencing factors of the provincial construction industry,it is found that the urbanization rate,industrial concentration degree,technical equipment level,labor efficiency and energy intensity all have significant influences on the construction industry,and they have both positive promoting and negative inhibiting effects on each provincial region,showing obvious spatial heterogeneity.At the same time,the influence of each factor on the province region changed significantly in different periods,and the time heterogeneity was obvious.For most provinces,the level of technology and equipment,industrial concentration and urbanization rate show positive promoting effects.Energy intensity has a significant negative inhibiting effect on GTFP of the construction industry,while the impact of urbanization rate is stronger than that of technology and equipment level and industrial concentration rate.However,the positive promoting effect of labor efficiency on green total factor productivity of construction industry in each province is gradually weakened,while the negative inhibiting effect is gradually strengthened.
