A Study On Influence Factors Of Farmers’ Environmental Awareness And Behavior In Suburban Of Chengdu

Rural environmental protection is an important part of the strategy of rural revitalization,an important part of the construction of ecological civilization,and the foundation of agricultural and rural economic development.Farmers are the main force of rural environmental construction,whose environmental awareness and behavior directly affect the rural environmental situation and the implementation effect of Rural Revitalization Strategy.To improve the awareness and behavior level of farmers’ environmental friendliness is not only conducive to solving the rural environmental problems,but also has a positive effect on the treatment of agricultural non-point source pollution and the protection of social food security.Through combing the existing research,we find that there are few researches on suburbs farmers’ environmental awareness and behavior.As a transitional area between urban and rural areas,suburban areas are different from remote rural areas and urban communities in terms of population characteristics,organizational forms,production methods and lifestyle.Studying the farmers’ environmental awareness and behavior level in this area can enrich the research system of citizens’ environmental awareness and behavior in China,and also provide some support for the research of farmers’ issues in the three rural issues.Based on this,this study takes suburban farmers as the research object,uses 334 samples collected in Chengdu suburb of Sichuan Province,constructs the theoretical framework and conducts research on the basis of the existing theoretical model,and conducts empirical research through a variety of statistical methods.The conclusion is as follows:(1)the overall environmental satisfaction of farmers is relatively high.More than 80% of farmers think the trend of environmental improvement will be better.However,the overall level of suburban farmers’ perception of environmental pollution is not high。(2)The education level is negatively related to age,positively related to education background.The education background of junior high school and below is closely related to the environment The psychological level was significantly lower than that of other cultural level respondents.(3)In terms of environmental knowledge,most suburban farmers are still lack of environmental knowledge that is close to life,and lack of understanding of professional environmental terms.For example,25.4% of suburban farmers say they have never heard of "PM2.5".Environmental knowledge level is negatively related to age,positively related to education level,and environmentally aware farmers who join cooperatives The level of knowledge was significantly higher than that of farmers who did not join the cooperative.(4)In terms of environmental responsibility,94.9% of the farmers think that individuals play an important role in environmental protection.(5)In the aspect of environmental behavior intention,the production-oriented and life-oriented environmental behavior intention is strong,but it deviates from the actual behavior.(6)In terms of production-oriented environmental behavior,most suburban farmers treat agricultural waste in a more environmentally-friendly way,but there are still some ways to pollute the environment;In the behavior of living environment,the residents showed better performance in the utilization of resources and the disposal of domestic waste.(7)The living environment behavior is significantly related to the education level of suburban farmers,the time of living in rural areas in a year,the proportion of agricultural income,the sense of environmental responsibility,the policy atmosphere of residence and the degree of infrastructure improvement.The biggest impact is the degree of infrastructure improvement of the residence.There is a significant correlation between productive environmental behavior and suburban farmers’ age,education background,annual income,working hours in agriculture,environmental knowledge level and residence policy atmosphere.Finally,based on the empirical results,it puts forward suggestions and countermeasures such as(1)giving full play to the role of publicity and education to promote the improvement of individual environmental awareness;(2)increasing the supply of agricultural ecological products and services to improve farmers’ income;(3)accelerating the improvement of infrastructure construction to promote the equalization of public services;(4)cultivating rural culture and standardizing farmers’ environmental behavior.
