| The trade relations between China and the countries along "the Belt and Road" are getting closer and closer. With the continuous increase in export trade to countries along "the Belt and Road" in recent years, the issue of exports affecting the host country ’s environment has received widespread attention from the international community. The debate over the environmental impact of international trade is endless. In the context of continuous global climate change and increasingly serious environmental pollution problems,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to analyze the environmental effects of China’s exports to countries along "the Belt and Road" and how to promote the coordinated and sustainable development of international trade and the ecological environment. On the basis of sorting out relevant domestic and foreign literature, this paper launches a relatively comprehensive theoretical and empirical analysis of the environmental effects of China’s exports to countries along "the Belt and Road".The research content of this article is first to examine the status of China’s export trade to the countries along "the Belt and Road".Further analyze the relevant theories of the environmental effects of international trade on the host country, and use the general equilibrium analysis method to obtain the scale, structural and technical effects of China’s exports on the environment.Secondly,an empirical model was constructed to determine the carbon dioxide emissions of the countries along the route as the explanatory variables for measuring environmental effects, the export trade volume as the core explanatory variable, and four variables such as per capita GDP and employment density as the control variables. The panel data of the countries along "the Belt and Road" from 2013 to 2017 were selected for overall regression analysis and heterogeneity analysis of the countries along the route. The study concludes that the overall scale of China’s exports to countries along the route has continued to expand and its structure has been continuously optimized;the conclusion that exports have a negative impact on the overall environment of the countries along "the Belt and Road"has a positive impact; The conclusion that China’s exports have a positive environmental effect on the countries in the advantage zone and a negative effect on the environment in the potential zone country. Finally, based on the above research, this article puts forward specific recommendations from the perspective of optimizing the foreign trade structure of our country, shouldering the responsibilities of major trading countries, and mitigating host country environmental pollution. The innovation of this article is to use a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, take China’s exports as the entry point, and select the overall and sub-category data of countries along "the Belt and Road" for empirical testing. |
