| The frequent occurrence of natural hazards in recent years has increasingly threatened the development of human society.Hazards prevention and mitigation have become the key to deal with climate change, environmental degradation and achieve sustainable development. With the in-depth studies on hazards prevention and mitigation at home and abroad, many researchers have begun to pay attention to the existing vulnerability of the socioeconomic system itself, and put forward the concept of social vulnerability, which has been widely used.In the context of climate change, the international academia and governments of various countries have begun to discuss the countermeasures that human society has taken to deal with global changes, thus launching research on adaptability.Zhejiang Province is located on the southeast coast of China whose socioeconomic and population resources are relatively concentrated. The special geographical location and socioeconomic system make Zhejiang Province more vulnerable to natural hazards and threaten the sustainable development of Zhejiang Province. In the face of the need of sustainable development in Zhejiang Province, the social vulnerability of various cities in Zhejiang Province is scientifically evaluated, and the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of social vulnerability are revealed. On the basis, the current situation of family adaptability is explored, and the influencing factors of the family adaptability are analyzed,so as to provide reference for the formulation and implementation of family hazards prevention and mitigation work.Firstly, this article summarizes the current situation of natural hazards in Zhejiang Province, and analyzes the causes of natural hazards. Then, the social vulnerability evaluation system is constructed, the index is screened by Pearson correlation analysis and principal component analysis, the index weight is determined by entropy method, and the social vulnerability index is calculated. The current situation of social vulnerability in Zhejiang Province is dynamically analyzed from the time scale and space scale, and the results are displayed by Arc GIS 10.2 software, which provides a reference for the smooth development of regional hazards prevention and mitigation work. Finally, under the background of higher social vulnerability and frequent natural hazards, the adaptability of urban families to natural hazards is studied.Due to the limitation of practical conditions, this paper only takes the family of Hangzhou as an example to briefly introduce the current situation of family adaptability in Zhejiang Province. This study analyzes the influencing factors of the family adaptability in Hangzhou, and carries out the family hazards prevention and mitigation plan pertinently. The main findings are as follows:(1)Evaluation of social vulnerability to natural hazards in Zhejiang ProvinceThe social comprehensive vulnerability of Zhejiang Province showed a downward trend on the time scale. On the spatial scale, the social comprehensive vulnerability level of Hangzhou,Ningbo,Wenzhou, and Taizhou was relatively high, while that of Huzhou,Quzhou, and Zhoushan was relatively low.According to the current situation of social vulnerability to natural hazards in Zhejiang Province, the corresponding suggestions for hazards prevention and mitigation were put forward.(2)Evaluation of adaptability to natural hazards: a case study of families in HangzhouAccording to the questionnaire data,Hangzhou families paid more attention to meteorological and hydrological hazards.Hangzhou families had high trust in local hazards response ability, low satisfaction with local hazards response measures, and high satisfaction with community unity.According to the results of Logistic model analysis, the adaptive behavior of families were significantly affected by these variables including gender, family length of residence, hazards experience, type of hazards experience, types of losses caused by hazards, ways to understand hazards, time to learn hazards knowledge, family trust in local hazards response ability, family satisfaction with local hazards response measures and family satisfaction with community unity. On this basis, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were put forward. |
