Coastal red tide is a serious marine environmental disaster,which not only affects social and economic development,but also affects the safety of human life due to pollution of marine fishery resources.With the development of ocean remote sensing technology,researchers have begun to use remote sensing data to monitor red tides,but the process of transforming remote sensing data into analytical data is mostly manual,which undoubtedly reduces the efficiency of monitoring and analysis,and there is also the possibility of manual errors.Based on this,this article presents a set of automatic red tide monitoring solutions by using MODIS ocean remote sensing data,from data acquisition to analysis,from red tide interpretation to visualization,all running automatically without any manual interventions,basically achieves the high efficiency of red tide monitoring and early warning.First of all,this article analyzes and compares the ocean color sensors currently in orbit,and through studying related articles,finally determines to use MODIS ocean color remote sensing data as the research object.Then researched the inversion algorithm for extracting chlorophyll concentration from the ocean color remote sensing data,demonstrated and analyzed the correlation between seawater chlorophyll concentration and red tide,and concluded that the two are positively correlated,and then proved the feasibility of realizing the red tide monitoring based on MODIS ocean color remote sensing data.After selecting the data source and red tide monitoring method,this article focuses more on the automatic downloading of MODIS data files,and the method of how to obtain the chlorophyll concentration of seawater from MODIS data files and then judge the red tide.It also introduces in detail how to realize the automatic processing on MODIS data files via IDL program,thus makes it finally conform to the Web GIS specification,and can be displayed on the web page with the digital map to achieve the most intuitive visualization effect.Finally,this article introduces in detail the design scheme and implementation details of the coastal red tide automatic monitoring system based on MODIS ocean color remote sensing data,which basically realizes the automatic download and automatic analysis of MODIS ocean color remote sensing data,as well as the automatic monitoring and automatic warning of coastal red tide.The automatic real-time operations of the coastal red tide automatic monitoring system improves the accuracy of data processing and the response speed of red tide monitoring,which will play an important reference significance for the research on red tide monitoring in the coastal waters.
