Research On The Structure Of The Han Women’s Clothing In The Ming Dynasty

The Ming Dynasty was the last dynasty ruled by the Han people in Chinese history,and its costumes were also the last inheritors of the traditional costumes of the Han people in ancient China.The changes in the style and structure of clothing in the Ming Dynasty were extremely rich and innovative.It is these changes that made Ming Dynasty clothing an important chapter in the history of Chinese traditional clothing development.This article takes the Han women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty as the research object,and explores the structure of the Han women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty through literature research,field research,and case studies.The content of this paper is mainly divided into the following parts.First,through researching historical documents to sort out the content related to women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty Clothing System,and construct a basic discussion framework for the Han women’s Dress System in the Ming Dynasty.Second,based on the research on documents,images,and existing objects of Ming Dynasty women’s clothing,the Ming Dynasty Han women’s clothing is divided into two categories: formal wear and normal wear according to the occasion of wearing.According to the difference in style,the formal wear is divided into three types: Di Yi,Da Shan and Ju Yi.the normal wear is divided into five types:Shan(Ao),Pi Feng,Bi Jia,skirt and trousers.And conduct style research for each type of clothing to study its matching method when worn and the evolution of styles.Third,combine the data recorded in the existing literature and the measurement of the actual objects,analyze the structural characteristics of the Han women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty,and draw the corresponding structural decomposition diagram.Fourth,combining relevant images and existing objects,and based on the structural decomposition diagram drawn,to make sample clothes and try them on,explore the cutting methods and sewing method of Han women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty,and analyze the external morphological characteristics of women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty.Finally,through the practice of modern clothing design,explore the application of the structural elements of women’s clothing of the Han in the Ming Dynasty in modern clothing.Through studying the Han women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty,it is found that the structure of the women’s clothing in the Ming Dynasty reflects more innovation on the basis of inheriting the ancient style.Among them,“inheritance” is mainly reflected in the overall structure of the traditional “cross” in the clothing,and “innovation” is mainly reflected in the design of partial structures such as collar,sleeve,placket,and more ergonomic three-dimensional modeling methods appearing in the clothing structure.By analyzing the design characteristics and design goals of the Han women’s clothing structure in the Ming Dynasty,the ingenuity of the craftsmen in the Ming Dynasty can be displayed in front of modern people more systematically,which will promote the inheritance and development of the Chinese traditional costume culture in modern clothing.
