Research On The Application Of Phoenix Patterns From Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes In Modern Fashion Design

The ancient Silk Road represented by Dunhuang is an important model in human history,which makes the material civilization and spiritual civilization of the East and the West perfectly communicate and integrate.Dunhuang art,as a cultural treasure of exquisite painting and rich content in China and even in the world,has been changing with the times,reflecting the superb painting skills and rich imagination of the ancients.Phoenix pattern is one of the patterns in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes.It is influenced by local culture,foreign culture and different factors in the past dynasties.It has different artistic characteristics in its shape,color and composition.Clothing is closely related to everyone.Under the special background of the "Silk Road",the relevant clothing has a unique charm.However,there are only a few clothing design works inspired by the phoenix patterns in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes.Therefore,this thesis takes the inheritance and development of Chinese culture as its mission and responsibility,and tries to integrate historical culture with modern design,reflecting the value and connotation of the phoenix pattern of Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes.This thesis first adopts case analysis,analysis and induction,literature research,field investigation,market research and practical research as the main methods.After refining,it elaborates the artistic characteristics and evolution process of phoenix patterns in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes in different historical periods,and focuses on the expression techniques of phoenix patterns in modern clothing in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes The research results are used in fashion design.The typical phoenix patterns in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes were partially extracted and recombined into new patterns,Through embroidery,printing and other techniques for fabric practice,to achieve the innovative application of phoenix pattern in modern clothing,provide a data basis for future researchers,and provide reference for the application of phoenix pattern and even traditional elements in fashion design.
