| In the process of project construction, construction workers are the most important group involved in construction activities, and their unsafe behaviors are closely related to construction safety performance. Many scholars have discussed relevant measures to improve construction safety performance from various aspects, but there are still few studies focusing on worker character factors and construction safety.Relevant studies have shown that individual personality traits can affect their behavior and decision-making methods,so the behavior and decision-making modes of construction workers are also different. The existing research on personality traits and safety behaviors of construction workers is mostly qualitative research or traditional mathematical statistical analysis.Although these researches can find universal laws and have certain guiding significance, they ignore the flexibility of construction site workers. The dynamic nature of workers interacting with the outside world and mutual assistance with workers, and at the same time,it does not take into account the degree of environmental risk on the construction site, which has a limited effect on improving the safety behavior of construction workers. This paper first sorts out the main behaviors of construction workers’ cognitive process through literature research, and finds that they are closely related to risk perception and risk tolerance.Through literature research,it is found that personality traits are not only related to risk perception and risk tolerance, but also related to workers’ willingness to help each other. Therefore, this article explores the relationship between Big Five personality and risk perception, risk tolerance, and mutual aid behavior of construction workers through questionnaire surveys. The analysis results show that neuroticism and easy-going have a positive linear relationship with risk perception, and risk tolerance. There is a positive linear relationship with extraversion and openness, and a negative linear relationship with conscientiousness. The higher the easy-going nature, the higher the willingness of construction workers to help each other.Based on the cognitive process of construction workers’ safety behaviors, this article comprehensively considers the personality traits, combination methods and external environment changes of construction workers, and establishes the Agent Based Modeling of workers’ mutual assistance behavior in construction scenarios on the Anylogic platform to explore different combinations. The impact of mutual assistance of workers on construction safety performance has made the research process clearer to show the emergence of complex problems.Through simulation experiments, the best configuration of construction team members under different risk environments is obtained. In a low-risk environment, when the number of high-and low-level extraverted,easy-going,and neurotic workers in the team is the same, and there are more low-conscientious and neurotic workers, the effect of improving safety performance is best.In a medium-risk environment, when the number of workers with high and low traits in each trait is equal, the team has the best safety performance improvement effect after mutual assistance;in a high-risk environment, the high and low levels of the team are easy-going and conscientious. The number of sexual and neurotic workers is the same. When there are more workers with low extraversion and openness, the effect of improving safety performance is best. This research applies the theory of personality traits to the study of construction safety management,so that project managers can understand the differences in workers’ behavior and their impact on construction safety performance from the perspective of personality traits, which is conducive to human resource managers’ assessment of workers’ performance before recruitment. The potential of safe work, active safety management from the initial stage of team formation, rather than looking for the cause of the accident afterwards,is conducive to improving the level of construction safety management. |
