Criticism Of Ecological Marxism On Capital Logic

Capital has not only created great achievements of civilization,but also brought about great ecological problems since it came into being.With the continuous advancement of industrialization and accelerated development of economic globalization,the ecological crisis brought by capital has been increasingly highlighted and spread gradually across the world,with a series of impacts on the survival and development of the entire human race.Therefore,the theoretical source-tracing of ecological crisis,exploration into the causes of ecological crisis,and seeking of solutions to ecological crisis have already become important research topics for domestic and foreign ideologists.As the “activist” in foreign schools of Marxism,ecological Marxism takes “capital logic”as its research topic and focuses on the realistic problem of ecological crisis of capitalism.On the basis of absorbing the critical theory on capital logic and ecological thinking of Marx and Engels as well as the ecological thinking of western Marxism,ecological Marxism insists on a value standpoint that capital logic is anti-ecological and hold a social ideal to construct ecological socialism.It criticizes things led by capital logic such as the production mode and technology,the capitalist system and ecological colonization,the concept of “controlling nature” and the value of “consumerism”,from three perspectives of economics,politics and culture.Furthermore,it proposes to eliminate the ecological crisis by constructing a stable ecological socialist society,and break the barrier of crisis discussion merely from the contradiction between human and nature.Through the phenomenon analysis and grasping the essence of contradiction between people and contradiction between the capitalist system and principles of ecology,it has updated the ideas innovatively,despite of the utopian vision of solutions.China should absorb the benefits from the criticism of ecological Marxism on capital logic for ecological civilization construction.China should give full play to the institutional advantages and stimulate the positive effects of ecological construction on the basis of achieving the unique institutional advantages according to its actual situation,to further consolidate and develop the ecological economy and boost the high-quality development of green economy.While yielding economic benefits,it shall also pay attention to the marginal effect of good ecology.Besides,it should further boost the democratic politics construction,safeguard the centrality of its people,inspire people’s creativity and consciousness,and practically enhance the modernization of ecological governance system and governance capacity.It should cultivate the ecological culture that can adapt to the social development,strengthen the education of ecological civilization view and consumption view,develop the cultural industry that can adapt to the ecological society,and intensify the industrial chain of ecological culture.It should reinforce the ecological governance,fully inspire the actual tension of civilization construction,and effectively boost the beautiful China initiative.
