| Mesocarbons microbeads(MCMBs)have been widely used in various lithium batteries as anode materials with excellent performance.MCMBs can be manufactured by heating asphalt and other raw materials with cyclic aromatic hydrocarbon structure in nitrogen environment and thermal condensation reaction.With the discovery of MCMBs and the study of forming mechanism,the forming mechanism can be divided into the three stages,and three basic theories have been formed,that is,the traditional theory,the theory of “micro-domain framing” and the theory of “spherical unit construction”.None of these theories can fully and clearly explain the forming process and reaction mechanism of MCMBs,so more in-depth experimental and theoretical studies are needed.Although i t has not been fully studied in theory,it does not affect the research and exploration of related production technology.There are many preparation methods of MCMBs in laboratory,and the mainstream preparation methods mainly include three methods,that i s,thermal condensation method,emulsification method and emulsion suspension method.Each of the three methods has its own advantages,and the microstructures and performance of MCMBs are also different.Through the comparative study of the three preparation methods,the preparation method of the industrial production of MCMBs was determined and the key points of its industrial transformation were analyzed.The production process flow and key technologies were put forward and the material balance was calculated.According to the process flow and material balance calculation results,the main equipment capacity was calculated and the equipment was selected and optimized,and a complete set of industrial production equipment was built.In order to explore the key control parameters and rules of MCMBs production,several simulated production tests were carried out on a small laboratory device,and a large number of test data were obtained.Through the statistical analysis of the test process and the results,the basic law of the control parameters such as reaction temperature,reaction time,reaction pressure and stirring rate and their influence on the micro-shape of MCMBs were obtained,which laid a solid data foundation for the actual production.The research results obtained in the laboratory were applied to the actual production equipment.Through the analysis and evaluation of the technical indexes,process parameters and economic indexes of the MCMBs produced in practice,it is verified that the laboratory research conclusions of the control parameters have practical guiding significance for the production of MCMBs.By analyzing the reason of the deviation between the laboratory data and the actual production data,the key contents that need to be improved and solved in the actual production are pointed out.The smooth operation of the industrial plant has verified the technological feasibility of producing MCMBs from Anshan Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd.’s own medium-temperature asphalt,accumulated valuable practical production experience,obtained good economic benefits,and promoted the improvement of MCMBs technology and equipment. |
