| Xinjiang is the key area of plastic mulching cultivation in China.Plastic film mulching cultivation technology is widely used on more than 20 crops.Agricultural production in Xinjiang has been affected by this and has developed rapidly.Xinjiang is the area with the most extensive plastic film area and the most plastic film usage in China. At the same time,Xinjiang has also become the largest waste plastic pollution area in China. The residual waste plastic film has a negative effect on the growth and development of crop plants, farming operations, ecological environment and so on.The"white pollution" caused by waste plastic film is becoming more and more serious, and it is urgent to control it.The role of farmers is very important in the process of recycling waste plastic film. From a micro perspective, analyze the use and recycling behavior of plastic film in the production process, and explore the factors that affect the behavior of peasants’ recycling of waste plastic film. And under rational choice, the external and internal constraints of farmers were analyzed. It has important theoretical and practical significance for mitigating the harm of waste plastic film pollution in cultivated land in Xinjiang, and for promoting the sustainable realization of waste plastic film pollution control and sustainable development of green ecological agriculture in Xinjiang. This study is guided by the theory of peasant household behavior, the theory of rational economic people, and the theory of public products.Based on the questionnaire data of 457 peasant households in Xinjiang, the waste plastic film recycling behavior of the peasant household is studied. Methods such as descriptive statistics and a two-stage model of Heckman are used to analyze the use of plastic film and the recycling behavior of waste mulch film from the perspective of farmers,as well as the influencing factors of waste plastic film recycling behavior decision and the degree of recycling, analyzes the differences in the recycling behavior and degree of cultivated land waste plastic film due to the individual characteristics of farmers, household and production characteristics and external environmental characteristics. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Because farmers generally seek to maximize benefits and poor awareness of environmental protection and other reasons, the use of plastic film is generally difficult to recover less than 0.008 mm ultra-thin film;(2)The overall recovery of waste plastic film survey of farmers was 52.46%,the recovery rate is low.farmers for treatment of waste plastic film is generally fell into the topsoil, landfill, incineration and recycling of four kinds of waste plastic film recycling makes arable land area,Xinjiang;(3)The significant impact on the decision of farmers’ waste plastic film recycling behavior is:age, ethnicity, thickness of plastic film use and policy support;the physical condition of the farmers, education level, participation in cooperatives and use of plastic film thickness have a significant impact on the degree of film waste recycling of farmers; The degree and significance of different factors vary. The following policy recommendations were drawn:Must be committed to improving farmers’ awareness and conceptual level of the environmental impact of waste mulch film residues;Strict implementation of plastic film use standards must be implemented;Attention should be paid to the transformation and application of results while strengthening scientific and technological research and development;and It is necessary to improve the incentive mechanism and implement corresponding policies and regulations. |
