Traditional ceramic modeling design method mainly relies on the designer’s experience and intuition,the designed product modeling is often not favored by consumers.With the popularity of personalized design,users play an increasingly important role in ceramic modeling design,but the user’s descriptive statements usually differ from the designer’s design concept.To reduce the semantic difference between users and designers,innovate existing design methods,and realize a user-oriented ceramic product development environment,this paper proposes a parametric design method for ceramic bottles based on morphological semantics,which mainly includes the following research contents:1.Collect and analyze user semantics and ceramic bottle modeling samples,extract ceramic bottle modeling elements.A morphological and style semantic parameter library is established from the perspective of user’s aesthetics,designer’s modeling,and ceramic culture.Based on the quantitative I-type method,the qualitative relationship between user semantic parameters and ceramic bottle modeling elements is established.2.The curve reconstruction method based on quadratic curvature entropy was improved,the curvature distribution was used to represent the complexity of the curve,and the shape of the curve is changed by adjusting the moving range of the control point.Under the premise of not affecting the accuracy and smoothness of the reconstruction curve,it can meet the requirements of the diversity of ceramic bottle contour lines.3.The element-based parametric modeling method was used to quantify the modeling elements of ceramic bottles,and the mapping relationship between morphological semantic parameters and ceramic bottle modeling elements and underlying geometric elements is constructed.(NURBS)curves).4.The functional design of the geometric modeling design platform of ceramic bottle driven by morphological and semantic parameters is carried out.The structure and function of the design platform are analyzed in detail,and the design renderings was given.
