A Research Of Health Resource Distribution Based On Geographic Grid

The research on distribution of health resource has emerged in the United States since the 1950s,and there has been considerable research in this field.The purpose of the research is to fairly and efficiently allocate available health resources so that allpeople can have the same opportunities to benefit from the same health service needs.For the same health service needs of all members of society,medical institutions should provide the same quality of health services,and the quality of health services does not differ due to their different social status,economic level,and intellectual conditions.The research on the distribution of health resources in China started late.In theory and case studies,there are many shortcomings such as single method and lack of available data.Studying the distribution of health resources in China has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper uses the case study method to take the distribution of health resources in Province Hunan as an example,and establish a geographic grid as a unit to explore the imbalance of health resources distribution in Province Hunan.This article contains a total of five parts.The first part is the introduction part,which briefly describes the research background and research significance of this paper,then clarifies the research content and research ideas,and then establishes the research methods,data sources,technical routes and innovation points.The second part is the definition of the concept of health resources,and the related theoretical basis.Later,the domestic and international research status of health resource distribution is introduced.The third part is the focus of this paper.Firstly,it constructs a health resource distribution assessment model and a estimation model of population in each geographic grid based on maximum likelihood estimation.Then a brief analysis of the overall distribution of health resources in Province Hunan is introduced,and a visual display of the distribution of health resources in the geographic grid is exhibited.And then using the population estimation model based on the maximum likelihood estimation to estimate the population of each grid.Through calculating the error of each hotspot word vector to estimate the population number and the actual population,this paper selects the hotspot word with the smallest error to estimate the population,then obtains the available population estimation data in each grid,and finally the population data and health resource data of each grid are used to calculate the concentration index of Province Hunan and each cities in the province separately.Then this paper shows the unfair distribution of health resources in Province Hunan through the concentration index.The fourth part analyzes the reasons for the unfairness of health resources distribution in Province Hunan from three aspects:medical and health system,financial health investment and personnel retention measures.And puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.The fifth part is a summary of the full text,as well as the shortcomings and prospects of the research.When assessing the distribution of health resources using population data and health resource data of traditional municipal administrative districts,although the concentration of health resources in different cities and states is different,due to the coarse grain size,there are areas with concentrated population and sparse population within each city and state,therefore,the unfairness of health resources distribution is not obvious.But by using population data and health resource data of each geographic grid to calculate the concentration index,it can be found that the number of beds in medical institutions in Province Hunan is more unfair,and the bed resources tend to be more concentrated in areas with higher population density,and compared to areas where the population density is lower.The former areas are significantly out of the level of complete fairness.And the distribution of health resources in areas with low population density is difficult to meet the needs of local population density.The distribution of health workers in Province Hunan is also in line with this trend,but the unfair situation should be slightly eased.After calculating the concentration index of each city in Province Hunan,it can be found that the distribution of beds and health workers in Xiangtan City,Loudi City and Hengyang City is relatively fair.Although the distribution of beds in Changsha City is fair,but the distribution of health workers in Changsha City is far more than other cities and states.The unfairness of health resources in remote areas of Province Hunan is very significant,with the west and north being more obvious.Therefore,Province Hunan needs to improve the rational distribution of medical and health resources,improve the fairness of health resources allocation,and improve the utilization of health services by improving the health care system,increasing investment in health finance,introducing effective health personnel training measures,and improving government supervision responsibilities to improve the fairness and eliminate the regional differences of health resource distribution,in order to meet the health needs of residents.
